Job description

The Production Operator will be responsible for operating production equipment, handling materials, supporting manufacturing activities, and maintaining GMP‑compliant production practices in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This involves machine operation, process monitoring, batch documentation, cleaning support, and reporting of operational issues. The candidate should be disciplined, safety‑focused, and capable of following SOPs and batch instructions to ensure smooth and quality‑driven production.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machines and equipment as per approved SOPs and batch manufacturing instructions.
• Support manufacturing activities such as material handling, charging, processing, transfer, and equipment operation.
• Monitor process parameters including time, temperature, pressure, speed, weight, and product appearance.
• Check raw materials, equipment status, area cleanliness, and line clearance before starting operations.
• Record production data, machine readings, batch details, and operational observations accurately.
• Follow GMP, safety, hygiene, and contamination control practices during all production activities.
• Assist in equipment cleaning, area cleaning, changeover, and basic setup activities.
• Report equipment breakdowns, process deviations, abnormal observations, or product defects to supervisors.
• Handle raw materials, intermediates, and finished products carefully to avoid mix‑ups or contamination.
• Coordinate with production supervisors, QA, warehouse, and maintenance teams when required.
• Support in‑process checks and sample collection as per defined production procedures.
• Maintain proper labeling, segregation, and movement of materials during manufacturing operations.
• Follow PPE requirements and safe machine operating practices at all times.
• Minimize material wastage, downtime, rejection, and operational errors during assigned shifts.
• Complete production tasks within planned timelines while maintaining quality standards.
