Role & responsibilities

• 1. Plan and manage production schedules to meet project timelines and delivery commitments
• 2. Oversee manufacturing and assembly of automatic door systems (mechanical, electrical, and control integration)
• 3. Ensure compliance with railway standards, safety norms, and quality requirements
• 4. Optimize manpower, machines, and materials for efficient production
• 5. Coordinate with Design, Quality, SCM, and Project teams for seamless execution
• 6. Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma)
• 7. Monitor production KPIs such as productivity, rejection rates, and on-time delivery
• 8. Ensure proper implementation of SOPs, work instructions, and process controls
• 9. Handle production-related audits (internal, customer, IRIS, etc.)
• 10. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions
• 11. Manage vendor coordination for outsourced processes/components
• 12. Ensure workplace safety and compliance with EHS standards
• 13. Support new product introduction (NPI), prototyping, and pilot runs
• Develop and train production team members

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of automatic door system assembly, mechanisms, and control integration
• Understanding of railway standards (EN 14752, IR standards, safety compliance)
• Expertise in production planning, line balancing, and capacity planning
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Infor LN) and MS Excel
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma tools
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Knowledge of quality tools (7 QC tools, FMEA, RCA, CAPA)
