Job description

WE ARE HIRING | PRODUCTION MANAGER – CNC MACHINES & WELDING AUTOMATION

Technocrats Plasma Systems Ltd seeks an experienced, hands-on Mechanical Engineer who can take complete responsibility for machine production—from approved designs and material planning through manufacturing, assembly, testing and dispatch.

Our product range includes:

  • CNC Plasma Profile Cutting Machines
  • CNC Laser Cutting Machines
  • Automatic Welding Systems
  • H-beam Welding Systems
  • Special-purpose machines and customised automation systems
The role

You will own production execution, coordinating Design, Fabrication, Mechanical Assembly, Electrical, Electronics, Software and Purchase teams to deliver machines on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

We need someone who has successfully handled similar responsibilities and can turn delivery commitments into completed machines.

Key responsibilities
  • Prepare and execute production schedules with clear milestones, responsibilities and resource requirements.
  • Review drawings, bills of materials and manufacturing readiness before releasing work to the shop floor.
  • Coordinate procurement and suppliers to ensure timely availability of bought-out components and manufactured parts.
  • Oversee fabrication, welding, heat treatment, machining, alignment and mechanical assembly.
  • Integrate electrical, electronics, CNC controls and software activities into the production schedule.
  • Resolve manufacturing and assembly problems through close coordination with the relevant engineering teams.
  • Establish quality checks, inspection procedures and machine acceptance tests.
  • Monitor progress daily, identify bottlenecks early and implement recovery plans before delivery dates are affected.
  • Improve productivity, reduce rework and control manufacturing costs.
  • Develop supervisors, technicians and operators into a disciplined, accountable production team.
  • Ensure safe working practices throughout manufacturing and testing.
Ideal candidate
  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Substantial experience in manufacturing CNC machines, welding automation, machine tools or comparable engineered equipment.
  • A proven record of independently managing production and delivering complex machines against committed schedules.
  • Strong practical knowledge of fabrication, welding, heat treatment, machining, tolerances, metrology and precision assembly.
  • Working understanding of servo drives, motion systems, CNC controls, electrical integration and machine commissioning.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, assess manufacturability and guide shop-floor teams.
  • Strong planning, supplier coordination, problem-solving and people-management skills.
  • A hands-on leader who takes ownership and follows issues through to closure.
Our expectation

We value a solution-oriented mindset and personal accountability. The right candidate will challenge constraints, find practical ways forward and honour agreed deadlines. When a risk arises, we expect early communication, a clear recovery plan and decisive action.

Quality and safety must remain integral to every delivery commitment.

What we offer
  • An attractive compensation package for the right candidate.
  • Performance-linked incentives.
  • ESOP participation, subject to mutually agreed terms.
  • Authority and management support to build an effective production organisation.
  • Long‑term career growth across advanced cutting, welding and automation technologies.
