Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial/Production Engineering or related field.
• 3–8 years of manufacturing experience, with 3–5 years in a Production Manager role.
• Experience in commercial refrigeration, HVAC, sheet metal fabrication, or appliance manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and monitor daily production activities to meet targets.
• Develop schedules based on orders and forecasts.
• Ensure smooth manufacturing across fabrication, sheet metal, insulation, assembly, wiring, testing and packaging.
• Monitor efficiency, machine use and manpower productivity.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Stores, Quality, Maintenance and Design teams.
• Implement Lean, Kaizen, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Control costs and ensure availability of raw materials to prevent delays.
• Lead and develop shop-floor supervisors and workers.
• Prepare production reports for management review.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Production Manager to oversee the complete production process of commercial refrigeration equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising manufacturing activities to ensure timely production, optimum resource utilization, superior product quality, and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets.
• Develop and implement production schedules based on customer orders and demand forecasts.
• Ensure smooth functioning of all manufacturing processes including fabrication, sheet metal, insulation, assembly, wiring, testing, and packaging.
• Monitor production efficiency, machine utilization, and manpower productivity.
• Coordinate with the Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, and Design departments for uninterrupted production.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and minimize product defects and rework.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor production costs and implement cost-reduction strategies without compromising quality.
• Ensure availability of raw materials and components to avoid production delays.
• Analyze production reports and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Maintain adherence to safety, environmental, and statutory regulations within the production area.
• Lead, motivate, train, and evaluate production supervisors and shop-floor employees.
• Investigate production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management review.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3- 8 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 3-5 years in a Production Manager role.
