Job summary

Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. The Line Leader will supervise a production team, oversee day-to-day operations, ensure safety and quality, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement on the production line.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing, with knowledge of OEE, yield, cycle time, and KPIs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years relevant experience in production.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (industrial, mechanical, electrical) or related field.
  • Experience with semiconductor assembly equipment and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of OEE, Yield, Cycle time, OTD, capacity planning.
  • Good English knowledge (writing, reading, speaking).
  • Knowledge of electronics, automation, mechanics/mechatronics, 3D CAD software.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and address production issues such as equipment malfunctions or bottlenecks.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time to meet production goals.
  • Ensure products meet quality standards; conduct quality checks and audits.
  • Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Provide year over year Equipment / Process performance improvements (e.g. cycle time reduction, OEE improvement).
  • Responsible for initiation, planning, implementation & control of activity in area of responsibility.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and supplies; collaborate with supply chain.
  • Responsible for reaching the targeted KPIs in equipment (e.g., scrap rate, yield improvements, OTD).
  • Provide technical support, capability improvement, standardized work, immediate problem solving.
  • Respond to production alarm systems when plan or quality is at risk.
  • Work with process engineers to optimize equipment performance.
  • Implement upgrades or modifications to improve functionality.
  • Document and report supplier issues when failures occur.
  • Report project status on timing, quality, and risk to Group Leader.
  • Drive new process technology and continuous improvement; ensure timely projects.
  • Implement preventive/corrective measures for best quality, availability and cost.

Job Overview:

The Line Leader is responsible for supervising and leading a team of production workers to ensure the efficient, safe, and quality-focused operation of the production line. This role includes overseeing day-to-day production activities, maintaining productivity, ensuring safety compliance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting continuous improvement efforts.


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Identify and address issues that may affect production, such as equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or bottlenecks. Communicate with maintenance or engineering teams to ensure quick resolutions

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet production goals

  • Ensure that all products meet company and industry quality standards. Conduct quality checks and audits as needed.

  • perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance to minimize down time

  • Provide year over year Equipment / Process performance improvement (e.g. cycle time reduction, OEE improvement)

  • Responsible for the initiation, planning, implementation & control of the activity in his / her area of responsibility

  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and supplies needed for production. Collaborate with supply chain or materials management teams to ensure timely availability

  • Responsible of reaching the targeted KPIs in his/her equipment (ex: scrap rate, yield improvements” “zero ppm\" \"OTD\"\" etc.)

  • Provide technical support, capability improvement, standardized work, immediate problem solving.

  • Respond to the production alarm systems, which is activated, if the realization of the production plan or the product quality is in danger.

  • Work closely with process engineers to optimize equipment performance and efficiency.

  • Implement upgrades or modification to improve functionality.

  • In case of supplier issue the failures must be documented and reported.

  • Report the project status on timing, quality, and risk to Group Leader.

  • Drive new process technology and continuous improvement. Ensure projects are completed on time.

  • Responsible for implementing the best preventive and corrective measures for ensuring the best quality, highest equipment availability and the minimum costs.

  • Develop solution to make Equipment / Process more reliable using local material and with lower cost.


Relavent years of experience:

Minimum 5+years relavent experience.


Education Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (industrial, mechanical, electrical) or other related field or equivalent education.


Essential Attributes:


  • Experience with semiconductor assembly equipments , Quality standards and MS Office, MS Project, operating system

  • Knowledg on OEE,Yield,cycle time,OTD,Capacity planning,MRB etc...

  • Good English knowledge (writing, reading, and speaking)

  • Knowledge of Electronics / Electrotechnics, Automation, Mechanics / Mechatronics, Product Design (3D CAD) Software

  • Process specific knowledge (technology, process, material, supplier, etc) of his/her process ownership

  • Knowledge of Production Processes: Understanding of manufacturing processes, production machinery, and assembly line operations.
