Job summary

Tata Electronics Private Limited in Assam is seeking an experienced Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automation equipment, including robots, PLCs, and special purpose machines.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Robotics, Automation, or SPM and has hands-on experience with ABB, FANUC, KUKA, EPSON, SODICK, PANASONIC robots and Mitsubishi, Siemens, Allen Bradley PLCs.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Robotics, Automation, or Special Purpose Machines.
• 3–6 years of automation experience, preferably in EMS.
• Experience in robot programming, PLC knowledge, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of automation equipment, robots, PLCs, and SPMs.
• Develop and implement robot programs for multiple robot brands (ABB, FANUC, KUKA, EPSON, SODICK, PANASONIC).
• Assist in PLC design and programming on Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Allen-Bradley platforms.
• Support PM activities to ensure equipment uptime and longevity.
• Contribute to QMS documentation and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Manage spare parts inventory and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Participate in root-cause analysis and process improvements.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance and Repair: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automation equipment, including robots, PLCs, and special purpose machines.
• Robot Programming: Assist in developing and implementing robot programs for ABB, FANUC, KUKA, EPSON, SODICK, and PANASONIC robots.
• PLC Knowledge: Assist in designing, developing, and implementing PLC programs using Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Allen Bradley platforms.
• Automation: Assist in automating manufacturing processes using robotics, PLCs, and special purpose machines.
• QMS Documentation: Assist in developing and maintaining Quality Management System (QMS) documentation.
• PM Activity: Assist in planning and executing Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities to ensure equipment sustainability.
• Spare Parts Management: Assist in managing spare parts inventory to minimize downtime.
• Equipment Sustainability: Assist in implementing measures to ensure equipment sustainability and extend its lifespan.
• Root Cause Analysis: Assist in conducting root cause analysis to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Lean Manufacturing: Assist in implementing lean manufacturing principles to optimize production processes.
• Robot Programming: Experience in programming robots from ABB, FANUC, KUKA, EPSON, SODICK, and PANASONIC.
• PLC Knowledge: Knowledge of PLC programming using Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Allen Bradley platforms.
• Automation: Experience in automating manufacturing processes using robotics, PLCs, and special purpose machines.
• QMS Documentation: Experience in developing and maintaining QMS documentation.
• PM Activity: Knowledge of PM activities and their implementation.
• Spare Parts Management: Experience in managing spare parts inventory.
• Equipment Sustainability: Knowledge of measures to ensure equipment sustainability.
