Job summary

Tata Electronics Private Limited in Karnataka is seeking an experienced SMT technician to maintain high-speed SMT lines, troubleshoot issues, and calibrate equipment. You will work on SPI, Fuji printers, reflow and AOI, with responsibilities spanning line installation, part management and process optimization.

The role requires practical knowledge of calibration, cycle-time reduction and collaboration with line engineers to meet quality standards and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • Experience with SMT manufacturing lines and equipment.
  • Strong hands-on skills in machine maintenance and calibration.
  • Ability to work with line Engineers/Managers to improve throughput.

Responsibilities

  • Machines Handled SPI, Fuji, GKG Printer, Reflow, and AOI.
  • SMT Machine maintenance / Troubleshooting / Calibration.
  • Line installation, alignment and bring up activities.
  • Fuji Mounter programming / Cycle time reduction.
  • Breakdown analysis / Troubleshooting & Repair.
  • Machine tossing control and spare part management.
  • New product development, CPK, GRR, Machine installation.
  • Coordinate daily SMT floor activities and assignments to SMT personnel.
  • Monitor employee work performance and maintain material/workflow.
  • Ensure stations produce products meeting quality standards.
  • Evaluate and modify manufacturing material workflow for throughput.
  • Develop and motivate team members with timely feedback.
  • Develop and maintain work schedules for on-time delivery.
  • Work with line managers to improve quality levels (Zero Defect).
  • Ensure staff are trained and certified in their functions.
  • Provide training and guidance to supervisory staff.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Job Responsibilites:

  • Ensure all stations are producing product that meets the company s quality standards.
  • Evaluate and modify the manufacturing material workflow for increased throughput and productivity if required.
  • Develop, motivate and challenge all team members to perform to their full potential, timely feedback in formal and informal media
  • With the line Engineers/Managers and supervisors, develop and maintain work schedules that support 100% on-time delivery to main lines.
  • Work with the line managers, supervisors and direct employees on a daily basis to improve quality levels (Goal: Zero Defect product).
  • Ensure that all manufacturing area personnel are thoroughly trained and certified in their specific functions.
  • Provide meaningful training, guidance and nurturing to the supervisory staff
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel.
  • Ensure equipment and tools are in good working condition and available for use when required.
