Job summary

Clarity Medical - OEM (Diagnostic Equipment) in Mohali, India seeks a seasoned Head of Production to lead the manufacturing of advanced medical electronic devices. The role demands strong leadership, NPI, and cross-functional coordination with R&D, Engineering, and Quality teams.

The successful candidate will drive KPI improvements (OEE, yield, cycle time), ensure ISO 13485 and GMP compliance, and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives including Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma while mentoring

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in medical device manufacturing or high-reliability electronics manufacturing.
• Proven experience as Production Head / Manufacturing Head / Plant Operations Leader.
• Experience with ECG, EMG, Patient Monitor, diagnostic equipment, or similar medical electronic products preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electronics assembly, testing, calibration, validation, and production processes.
• Strong leadership, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies, processes, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end production operations from material readiness to final product dispatch.
• Drive production targets with quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.
• Monitor and improve KPIs including OEE, productivity, yield, cycle time, downtime, and rejection reduction.
• Coordinate daily with R&D, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain for new product development and smooth transfer from prototype to mass production.
• Support NPI activities including prototype builds, pilot production, validation, and production ramp-up.
• Provide manufacturing inputs for Design for Manufacturing (DFM), process optimization, cost reduction, and product reliability improvement.
• Ensure production readiness with approved BOM, work instructions, testing procedures, fixtures, documentation, and trained manpower.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, GMP practices, CAPA, process validation, and medical device quality requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, automation, and data-driven problem solving.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for manufacturing issues.
• Manage and train production, engineers, technicians, and operators.
• Build a culture of quality, accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Prepare production reports, KPI dashboards, and improvement plans for senior management.

Head – Production (Medical Devices)

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Head – Production

to lead manufacturing operations for advanced medical electronic devices. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in medical device/electronics manufacturing, production leadership, NPI, R&D-to-production transfer, process improvement, quality systems, and team development. The candidate should have excellent analytical ability, strong decision-making skills, and a passion for building efficient, high-quality manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
