Job summary

Finolex Cables in Urse, Maharashtra, is seeking an experienced operator for optical fiber draw tower operations. You will monitor production targets, quality and OEE, and troubleshoot process issues to maintain continuous output.

The role requires knowledge of fiber drawing processes, instrument control, PLC/HMI basics, and collaboration with Maintenance, Quality and Process Engineering teams to drive Kaizen and 5S compliance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of optical fiber drawing processes, process control, instrumentation, OEE and production reporting.
• Knowledge of PLC/HMI, sensors, drives, motors and temperature controllers is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor optical fiber draw tower operations
• Achieve production targets, yield, productivity and OEE
• Monitor critical process parameters and fiber quality
• Troubleshoot process abnormalities and production issues
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Process Engineering & Utilities teams
• Analyze downtime, rejection and production losses
• Drive RCA, CAPA, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, EHS, quality systems and 5S
• Coordinate shift activities and manpower deployment
