Job summary

Greytip Software Private Limited seeks an Optoelectronics Engineer – Production to support the manufacture, test, and optimization of lasers, photodetectors, and fiber‑optic modules.

You will collaborate with production, quality, and R&D teams to improve yield, implement corrective actions, and transition new devices from lab to mass production in a controlled cleanroom environment. Hands-on use of OSA, meters, OTDR, BER testers, and polarization analysers is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in optoelectronics, photonics, electronics, electrical engineering, physics, or related field.
  • 1–4 years of experience in optoelectronic manufacturing or production engineering.
  • Strong understanding of optical communication systems and devices.
  • Hands-on experience with optical test equipment (OSA, meters, OTDR, oscilloscopes, BER testers, polarization analyzers).
  • Familiarity with fiber handling, alignment and cleanroom processes.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and process control.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, optical and process issues.
  • Good communication, documentation, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day production of optoelectronic components and systems.
  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain optical/electronic test equipment.
  • Monitor production yield, analyze failures, and implement corrective actions.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes to improve throughput, quality, and cost.
  • Perform optical alignment, assembly, and characterization of lasers, modulators, photodiodes, and fiber‑optic modules.
  • Develop and update production work instructions, SOPs, and test procedures.
  • Collaborate with quality teams on root‑cause analysis and reliability improvements.
  • Assist in transitioning new products from R&D to mass production.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, ESD, and cleanroom practices.
  • Maintain production documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Optoelectronics Engineer – Production to support the manufacturing, testing, and process optimization of optoelectronic products such as lasers, photodetectors, optical modules, and communication systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with production, quality, and R&D teams to ensure high-yield, reliable, and scalable manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
