Job summary

Tekman India in Gujarat seeks a proactive Shop Floor Supervisor to lead production teams and ensure daily targets are met. You will plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules, monitor progress, and take corrective actions to minimize delays while optimizing resources.

You will coordinate with Planning, Quality, Stores, and Purchase, maintain records, and ensure work according to drawings, P&IDs, and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise shop-floor personnel to achieve daily production targets and ensure smooth production operations.
• Prepare and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans for assigned jobs.
• Monitor production progress and take corrective actions to minimize delays and improve productivity.
• Optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce wastage, and ensure effective utilization of resources.
• Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Stores, Purchase, and other departments to ensure timely completion of jobs.
• Maintain and monitor job cards, production records, and ERP entries.
• Ensure production activities are carried out as per approved engineering drawings, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and work instructions.
• Monitor manpower allocation, material availability, and machine utilization to meet production schedules.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Prepare daily production reports and provide updates on target achievement, job status, and pending activities.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and discipline on the shop floor.
