Job summary

Mechtex - Motion Drivetronics Pvt. Ltd is seeking a Production Engineer to optimize manufacturing operations for precision electric motors and motion control solutions, driving efficiency and quality on the shop floor.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or BE in Mechanical or Production Engineering with 5–8 years of hands-on experience. You will plan line balancing, monitor production data, ensure ISO 9001 compliance, and champion Kaizen, Poka-Yoke and 5S while mentoring operators.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE in Mechanical or Production Engineering is required.
• 5–8 years of hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and lean tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production efficiency and identify bottlenecks.
• Plan manpower allocation and perform line balancing to meet schedules.
• Record and analyse daily production data including output, rework, rejection, and scrap.
• Ensure corrective and preventive actions address root causes of rework and rejection.
• Maintain ISO 9001 compliance and participate in audits.
• Plan and control daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Stores to ensure smooth flow.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and productivity gains using lean tools.
• Monitor machine performance and coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and work instructions.
• Implement Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and waste elimination on the floor.
• Maintain 5S and safety protocols across the shop floor.
• Support new product development, trial runs, and process validation.
• Train and guide operators on process standards, quality requirements, and safety.
