Job summary

Tetra Pak in Chakan, Pune, seeks a Production/Assistant Engineer to drive manufacturing activities, support machine operations and improve through TPM and World Class Manufacturing. The role emphasizes ensuring quality output and adhering to SOPs in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with autonomous maintenance and 7 QC tools, along with strong teamwork and English communication skills. Diploma/Bachelor’s in engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, E&TC, or Printing Eng/Tech.
• 3–6 years in manufacturing/production operations.
• Willing to operate on machines and work in three shifts; strong safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine production activities per established procedures and work instructions.
• Ensure output quality meets defined standards and production targets.
• Operate and monitor production machines and equipment efficiently.
• Support Autonomous Maintenance activities.
• Maintain machine reliability and process stability.
• Apply TPM and WCM methodologies for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Use 7 QC Tools for troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Follow SOPs, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams.
• Contribute towards achieving safety, quality, productivity and cost objectives.

Role Summary

We are looking for dynamic and hands-on Production Engineers / Assistant Engineers Production to join our manufacturing team at Chakan, Pune. The selected candidate will be responsible for executing production activities, ensuring quality output, supporting machine operations, and driving continuous improvement through TPM and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) practices.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Competencies

• Knowledge of production processes and manufacturing operations.
• Basic understanding of production equipment and machinery.
• Experience in Autonomous Maintenance (AM).
• Working knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and World Class Manufacturing (WCM).
• Experience in troubleshooting production-related issues.
• Good understanding of 7 QC Tools and problem-solving techniques.
• Experience as an AM team member managing equipment upkeep and reliability.

Soft Skills

• Good communication skills in English.
• Ability to read and understand SOPs, work instructions, and machine manuals.
