Job summary

The Monarch Enterprises in Mumbai is seeking an experienced Production Design Manager with a strong background in furniture manufacturing and production design. You will lead the production design team, ensure accurate technical drawings, and coordinate with manufacturing and CNC teams to deliver furniture projects on time.

Ideal candidates have expertise in AutoCAD, CNC processes, BOM/BOQ, and material specifications, with hands-on leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Interior Design, Furniture Design, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in furniture manufacturing and production design management is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the production design team for furniture manufacturing.
• Prepare and review detailed furniture drawings, working drawings, and manufacturing drawings.
• Ensure designs are production-ready, technically accurate, and feasible for manufacturing.
• Coordinate with the production, CNC, fabrication, and installation teams.
• Review BOQ, BOM, material specifications, and hardware requirements.
• Monitor design accuracy, material optimization, and production timelines.
• Resolve technical issues related to drawings, dimensions, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Ensure proper coordination between the design and production departments.
• Manage design revisions and ensure timely completion of drawings.
• Guide team members and improve production design workflows.

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Production Design Manager with strong expertise in furniture manufacturing and production design. The candidate will be responsible for managing the production design team, ensuring accurate technical drawings, coordinating with production and CNC teams, and ensuring smooth execution of furniture manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage the production design team for furniture manufacturing.
• Prepare and review detailed furniture drawings, working drawings, and manufacturing drawings.
• Ensure designs are production-ready, technically accurate, and feasible for manufacturing.
• Coordinate with the production, CNC, fabrication, and installation teams.
• Review BOQ, BOM, material specifications, and hardware requirements.
• Monitor design accuracy, material optimization, and production timelines.
• Resolve technical issues related to drawings, dimensions, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Ensure proper coordination between the design and production departments.

Required Skills :

• Strong knowledge of furniture manufacturing and production processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and furniture design software.
• Knowledge of CNC machining, cutting lists, BOQ, BOM, and hardware specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and manufacturing drawings.
• Strong team management, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of materials such as plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, and other furniture components.
