Job summary

Mavenbmc Faridabad is seeking a hands-on production lead for Cold Chamber HPDC operations in Pune district. You will drive end-to-end aluminium die casting for automotive components, optimize process parameters, manage machine settings, and lead a team of operators and technicians to meet daily targets while upholding quality and safety standards.

The role requires strong knowledge of HPDC parameters, defect analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen, 5S and TPM to boost

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Cold Chamber HPDC production operations for automotive aluminium components.
• Operate cold chamber die-casting machines and meet daily and monthly targets.
• Monitor HPDC process parameters such as injection pressure, shot velocity, temperatures and cycle time.
• Oversee melting, holding, ladling, die casting, trimming and finishing processes.
• Handle machine setting, die setting and changeovers; optimize parameters.
• Troubleshoot defects like porosity, misrun, flash, shrinkage and cracks.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce rework and rejects.
• Improve OEE, productivity, cycle time, machine utilization and yield.
• Monitor KPIs: rejection %, downtime, PPM, productivity and OEE.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, PPC and Engineering teams.
• Ensure preventive maintenance for HPDC machines, furnaces and dies.
• Monitor die life and coordinate die maintenance with Tool Room.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, Control Plans, PFMEA and process parameters.
• Drive continuous improvement via Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke, TPM and Lean initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO and EHS/safety requirements.
• Manage operators and technicians, including shift allocation, training and performance monitoring.

Job description

Responsible for managing Cold Chamber HPDC production operations, ensuring achievement of production targets, quality, productivity, rejection control, machine utilization and safe manufacturing practices.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end Cold Chamber High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) production operations for automotive aluminium components.
• Operate/manage cold chamber die-casting machines and ensure achievement of daily and monthly production targets.
• Strong knowledge of HPDC process parameters such as injection pressure, shot velocity, intensification pressure, die temperature, metal temperature, filling time and cycle time.
• Monitor and optimize melting, holding, ladling, die casting, trimming and finishing processes.
• Responsible for machine setting, die setting/changeover and process parameter optimization.
• Troubleshoot common die-casting defects such as porosity, cold shut, misrun, flash, shrinkage, cracks, blisters and dimensional variation.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions to reduce rejection and rework.
• Improve OEE, productivity, cycle time, machine utilization and yield.
• Monitor production KPIs including rejection %, downtime, PPM, productivity and OEE.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, PPC and Engineering teams for smooth production.
• Ensure preventive maintenance coordination for HPDC machines, furnaces, dies and auxiliary equipment.
• Monitor die life and coordinate with Tool Room for die maintenance and corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, Control Plans, PFMEA, work instructions and process parameters.
• Drive continuous improvement through Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke, TPM and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO and EHS/safety requirements.

Technical Skills Required

Strong hands-on exposure to Cold Chamber HPDC / Aluminium Die Casting is essential. Candidate should have knowledge of:
