Job summary

Atomgrid is seeking a Production Associate - Agro Formulations in Ankleshwar, Gujarat, for hands-on agrochemical formulation manufacturing. The role covers process scale-up from lab/pilot to plant scale, plant integration, and management of contract/job-work sites, working closely with R&D and manufacturing teams.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in agrochemical formulations, exposure to EC/SC/WG formulations, and familiarity with technology transfer and documentation.

Responsibilities

• END-TO-END PROCESS SCALE-UP: Oversee R&D from lab to commercial production; collaborate on process optimization; lead pilot-to-plant scale-up; ensure feasibility and reliability.
• PLANT-SCALE INTEGRATION: Work with manufacturing teams to optimize plant processes; troubleshoot scale-up issues; support technology transfer at sites.
• CONTRACT / JOB-WORK SITE MANAGEMENT: Liaise with contract manufacturers; manage day-to-day ops; oversee raw materials, in-process quality, and dispatch; represent Atomgrid on-ground.
• PLANT OPERATIONS & MANUFACTURING OVERSIGHT: Oversee day-to-day plant ops; ensure SOP compliance; track data; conduct RCA; support cross-location manufacturing.

JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a technically proficient Production Associate - Agro Formulations with hands-on experience in agrochemical formulations manufacturing.

The role involves process scale-up from laboratory/pilot scale to commercial production, plant-scale integration, manufacturing process optimization, and management of contract/job-work manufacturing sites.

The candidate will work closely with R&D and manufacturing teams and will also act as Atomgrid's on-ground representative at manufacturing partner sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. END-TO-END PROCESS SCALE-UP

• Oversee the R&D process from laboratory scale to commercial production.
• Collaborate with the R&D team on process optimization, modifications, and pilot-scale trials.
• Lead the scale-up process from commercial pilot to plant-scale implementation.
• Ensure technical feasibility, process reliability, and smooth transition to commercial production.

1. PLANT-SCALE INTEGRATION

• Work closely with manufacturing teams to optimize plant processes.
• Troubleshoot technical and process-related challenges during scale-up and production.
• Support technology transfer and implementation of processes at manufacturing sites.

1. CONTRACT / JOB-WORK SITE MANAGEMENT

• Act as the primary liaison with contract manufacturing and job-work partners.
• Manage day-to-day operations and resolve on-ground manufacturing challenges.
• Oversee raw material receipt, in-process quality checks, and finished goods dispatch.
• Represent Atomgrid on-ground and ensure process integrity and confidentiality.
• Track manufacturing trends, capacity utilization, and new developments across key regions.

1. PLANT OPERATIONS & MANUFACTURING OVERSIGHT

• Oversee day-to-day plant operations and supervise plant and project activities across sites.
• Ensure manufacturing activities comply with Atomgrid's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Track and report plant operations data on a daily basis.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for process deviations and share reports with management.
• Support commissioning and manufacturing activities across different locations in India.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in agrochemical formulations manufacturing environments.
• Experience in contract manufacturing / job-work manufacturing setups.
• Strong exposure to manufacturing of herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides.
• Good understanding of agrochemical formulation production processes including EC, SC, WP, and WG.
• Familiarity with plant operations, technology transfer, and scale-up processes.
• Experience in maintaining plant operation records and documentation.
• Ability to prepare and manage plant operation reports, Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), and site assessment reports.
• Experience in R&D process scale-up and plant integration is preferred.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Agrochemicals, or a related field.
• Diploma / BSc / MSc candidates with relevant hands-on experience may also be considered.
