Job summary

Societe Generale Global Solution Centre in Bengaluru seeks a seasoned Senior Business Analyst/Project Manager with 12+ years in Banking and Financial services, focused on payments and cash management. You will own requirements, partner with IT, and drive large programs across Asia and Europe, with flexibility for shifts and cross‑border collaboration.

The role emphasizes transformation, governance, and change management, including training materials and end-user training plans.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with payments or cash management products.
• Experience coordinating with business and IT to translate requirements into BRD.
• Leadership role in large banking programs and multi‑national teams.
• Knowledge of ISO20022, SEPA, and SWIFT payment formats.
• Familiarity with major payment engines and core banking tools.
• Able to engage stakeholders and drive MVP/backlog decisions.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with business and IT to validate and prioritize requirements.
• Lead change management activities including training material and training plans.
• Steer governance bodies (OPCO, Steerco) with C‑level stakeholders.
• Oversee budgeting and financial planning activities for programs.
• Act as HR lead for project teams and manage team structures.
• Coordinate end-to-end payments transformation programs.

Job description

• Comprehensive experience (12+ yrs) in Banking & Financial services with exposure in Payments products implementations, Core banking system Implementation (large Programs) in the space of Transaction Banking business
• Experience as business analyst/product ownership/project management liaising with business and IT teams
• Hand-on experience of Payments or Cash Management products is the key (Must Have)
• Should be able to work closely with business experts and help them to understand the requirement and translate it to BRD in terms of benefits to be realized. (Must Have)
• To work with BE/PO and prioritize requirements to vendor/IT and validate the solution provided.
• Participate in change management which can include task as validating the training material, end user training plan and scope, e.t.c
• Support the program management with the impacts assessment for change requests.
• Steer necessary governances like OPCO, Steerco with C-Level executives and stakeholders
• Experience with Pyramid, Budgeting and financial planning
• Leadership experience in terms of managing and leading a team and their structural activities as HR manager
• Must Have experience on payment file format ISO20022, SEPA Products (SCT, SDD, Instant SCT) and SWIFT (Cross Border Payments)
• Knowledge market standard Payment Engines like FIS Clear2Pay, BANCS, TEMINOS T24, FlexCube, Intellect Design FCH, Global PayPlus is an added advantage
• Advanced skills and experience in large program/project management
• Should have worked in multi-dimensional teams across Asia and Europe geographies
• Should be flexible to work on any Shift timings

• Knowledge on end-to-end commercial banking processes with specific focus on payments and cash Management
• Functional expert, with strong knowledge of end-end payments process
• The person must become the point of contact for the all business requirements on payments transformation projects
• The person must be able to steer large roadmap topics in as project manager
• The person must have knowledge of the payment instruments and processes.
• The person must have experience of leading a team as HR manager
• Contribute to users change management (on-line help, training)
• Ability to conduct contribute to workshops, demos, Project Kickoff, STEERCOs and OPCOs.
• Ability to negotiate priorities with Product Managers and sponsors on the backlog to deliver MVP
• Communicate and negotiate on deliverables, scope, delays and priorities.
• Ability to create a relationship of trust and faith with the clients
