Job summary

The Standard India in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Agile Product Owner - Delivery to act as the primary customer proxy for engineering teams and translate business requirements into prioritized backlogs, clear user stories, and executable delivery plans.

This role partners with Intake Product Owners, Analysts, Engineers, Architects, and Delivery Managers to deliver automation and AI-enabled solutions while balancing priorities, dependencies, and risks.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressively increasing responsibility in Agile delivery, product ownership, enterprise technology delivery, automation delivery, or transformation programs.
  • Expert understanding Agile delivery, product execution, automation delivery frameworks, governance practices, and enterprise change management.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain a healthy product backlog aligned to approved business outcomes, portfolio priorities, and delivery commitments.
  • Translate approved business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, release plans, and prioritized work packages.
  • Lead backlog refinement, iteration planning, sprint reviews, release planning, and stakeholder demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with Business System Analysts to ensure requirements, business rules, processes, controls, and acceptance criteria are delivery ready.
  • Partner with Engineering, Architecture, and Delivery leadership to balance feature delivery, technical debt, platform sustainability, and operational readiness.
  • Drive scope management, dependency coordination, risk mitigation, and delivery forecasting across automation initiatives.
  • Accept completed work, ensuring solutions meet functional, operational, quality, security, and governance requirements.
  • Monitor delivery progress, identify obstacles, elevate risks, and communicate status to business and technology stakeholders.
  • Facilitate business readiness activities including UAT coordination, deployment planning, change management, stakeholder readiness, and production adoption.
  • Follow IPA CoE delivery standards, governance expectations, security controls, Responsible AI guardrails, and enterprise delivery practices.
  • Measure and communicate delivery outcomes, operational performance, value realization, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to reusable delivery practices, backlog management standards, estimation approaches, and Agile maturity across the SGS delivery organization.

Job Summary

Agile Product Owner - Delivery serve as the primary customer proxy for engineering teams and are accountable for translating approved business requirements into prioritized backlogs, clear user stories, and executable delivery plans. They balance business priorities, technical dependencies, delivery risks, governance requirements, and capacity constraints to ensure successful implementation of automation and AI-enabled solutions.

This role partners closely with Intake Product Owners, Business System Analysts, Software Engineers, Solution Architects, Scrum Masters, Delivery Managers, Run/Support teams, governance stakeholders, and business leaders to deliver automation solutions that meet business commitments and operational expectations.

The Agile Product Owner - Delivery extends traditional Agile product ownership with automation-specific capabilities including orchestration delivery, RPA implementation oversight, Communication Mining enablement, agentic automation delivery coordination, Intelligent Document Processing adoption, technology roadmap execution, operational readiness planning, and value realization monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

Skills and Background You’ll Need

Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, IT, or Software Engineering (preferably with MIS specialization)

Experience: Typically 8+ years of progressively increasing responsibility in Agile delivery, product ownership, enterprise technology delivery, automation delivery, or transformation programs

  • Expert understanding Agile delivery, product execution, automation delivery frameworks, governance practices, and enterprise change management.
  • Leads delivery across multiple initiatives, teams, or value streams.
  • Balances strategic business objectives, portfolio priorities, delivery capacity, and technology constraints.
  • Guides delivery methodologies and continuous improvement practices across teams.
