Director – Infrastructure Services (ISM)
Job Summary
  • The Director, Infrastructure Services leads the Infrastructure Services function for StanCorp Global Services (SGS) India, serving as the senior delivery, operations, and people leader for all infrastructure‑related services provided from India.
  • This role works in close partnership with U.S.-based Infrastructure and ISM service portfolio leaders, contributing to global strategy while owning execution, delivery excellence, operational maturity, and talent development within SGS India.
  • The role leads Managers and engineering teams across infrastructure, digital workplace, enterprise services, and application enablement domains, ensuring services are reliable, scalable, secure, and aligned to enterprise standards and expectations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with U.S. Infrastructure and ISM leaders to execute global service strategy, roadmaps, and priorities, translating global direction into effective execution within SGS India.
  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery, operational performance, and service outcomes for all Infrastructure Services delivered from SGS India with a strong emphasis on Cloud and Hybrid Cloud solutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop leaders and high‑performing engineering teams across infrastructure and platform domains.
  • Ensure infrastructure services meet defined availability, resilience, performance, and cost objectives.
  • Champion a customer‑centric service mindset, coaching leaders and service owners on effective stakeholder engagement and service experience across a diverse customer landscape that spans DevOps teams, traditional development functions, business users, and other key partners.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on infrastructure engineering, architecture standards, and modernization initiatives, in alignment with global direction.
  • Oversee execution of infrastructure programs and initiatives, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and aligned to global governance.
  • Manage vendor and partner performance, including embedded delivery partners, ensuring service quality and value.
  • Identify, elevate, and mitigate operational and infrastructure risks in coordination with U.S. counterparts.
  • Manage SGS India infrastructure budgets, workforce planning, and capacity management in alignment with global plans.
  • Ability to work on‑site in Bengaluru, India is a requirement of the role.
  • Mode of Working: This role follows a hybrid work model, with a primary base in Bengaluru. While on‑site presence is essential for key engagements, flexibility is offered for remote work based on business needs and team alignment.
Skills And Background You’ll Need
Education
  • A Engineering degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
  • Advanced degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT Infrastructure, Operations, or Platform Services.
  • 5+ years in senior leadership roles managing multi-domain infrastructure services.
  • Experience operating in a global delivery or GCC model, partnering closely with U.S.-based leaders.
  • Strong background in cloud, hybrid infrastructure, ITSM, and large‑scale operations.
  • Proven people leadership experience, including building and scaling leadership teams.
  • Strong background in both Agile and Waterfall delivery models, with proven success navigating hybrid environments and guiding teams through the transition between structured, plan‑driven work and iterative, fast‑paced delivery cycles.
