Epiroc India seeks a Product Manager – Underground to lead the Underground Division's product portfolio and growth across India. You will shape product positioning, pricing strategy, and drive value-selling initiatives while capturing market intelligence for future development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mining, mechanical, civil engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in mining equipment, underground mining operations, technical sales, application engineering, or product management.
  • Experience managing customer relationships within mining or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong understanding of underground mining methods and equipment applications.
  • Familiarity with Epiroc underground product line and/or competitor underground product line preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance
  • Promote and actively support Epiroc's Safety First culture.

Business Growth & Market Development
  • Drive growth of the Underground Equipment business across India.
  • Develop and execute territory and product growth strategies.
  • Support achievement of order intake, revenue, market share, and profitability targets.
  • Identify new market opportunities within underground metal mining and tunnelling segments.
  • Develop strategies to increase wallet share within existing accounts and acquire new customers.
Product Management
  • Own and champion the Underground Division product portfolio.
  • Support product positioning, pricing strategy, and value selling initiatives.
  • Capture customer requirements and market intelligence for future product development.
  • Coordinate product launches and deployment of new technologies.
  • Drive portfolio development initiatives aligned with regional and divisional priorities.
Customer & Application Support
  • Act as the trusted advisor to customers on equipment selection and mining applications.
  • Conduct customer visits, site assessments, and productivity reviews.
  • Lead equipment demonstrations and customer presentations.
  • Support application studies and recommend optimized fleet solutions.
  • Drive adoption of automation, digitalization, and emerging underground mining technologies.
  • Support development of technical and commercial proposals.
  • Participate in strategic tender opportunities and major customer negotiations.
  • Coordinate with Product Companies on quotations and product configurations.
  • Support forecasting, pipeline reviews, and business planning activities.
  • Monitor industry developments, customer investments, and competitor activities.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of competing underground equipment offerings.
  • Provide actionable market intelligence to divisional and regional stakeholders.
Internal Collaboration
  • Work closely with Sales, Service, Parts, Supply Chain, Finance, and Product Companies.
  • Support product and application training for internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to annual business planning and strategic reviews.
  • Ensure seamless communication between Customer Centers and Product Companies.
Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, mechanical engineering, civil Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience Essential
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience within mining equipment, underground mining operations, technical sales, application engineering, or product management.
  • Experience managing customer relationships within mining or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong understanding of underground mining methods and equipment applications.
Highly Preferred
  • Familiarity with Epiroc underground product line and / or competitor underground product line.
  • Experience working with OEMs such as Epiroc, Sandvik, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Normet, or equivalent mining equipment suppliers.
  • Experience engaging with key Indian mining customers including metal mining and underground contractors.
