Job summary

Epiroc in India seeks a qualified Mechanical/Electrical engineer for underground mining maintenance. You will perform daily, scheduled, breakdown, and corrective maintenance to ensure machine availability, MTTR, and MTBF; you will also mentor operators and coordinate with the maintenance team.

The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, familiarity with SHE standards, and experience with underground drilling equipment and hydraulic/electrical systems.

Qualifications

• BE/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical with 3–5 years' experience in underground mines.
• Experience with SHE standards and guidelines.
• Technical competence on HEMM underground machinery and troubleshooting hydraulic/electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety culture and participate in SHE activities.
• Perform daily, scheduled, breakdown, and corrective maintenance.
• Manage machine availability, MTTR, MTBF; report daily.
• Support team leaders; participate in RCA and FIP analyses.
• Lead team and parts planning; drive Kaizen and audits.
• Develop training for maintenance and operation staff.

Job Description:Key Responsibilities:

Ensure to Maintain Safety Culture at Workplace. Take part in all SHE Activities.
Ensure to Maintain Housekeeping and 5's and Safety Standard at Workplace as well as in working premises.
Follow and Ensure Team Member must follow SOP and SMP for all Operational and Maintenance Activities.
Perform Daily Maintenance, Schedule Maintenance, Breakdown Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance. Maintain and Ensure Machine Availability, MTTR and MTBF
Proper Daily/Shift Reporting, Handover Takeover, support to Team Leader and Senior in day-to-day activities.
Participate in RCA and FIP's for analysis to improve of Fleets.
Team Management and Parts Planning to run shifts. Initiate Kaizen, AO Activities and participate in audit.
Implementing predictive maintenance strategies to monitor equipment health and prevent unplanned downtime due to equipment failures.
Developing and delivering training on maintenance or operation team to educate employees as well as operator to improve maintenance and operation team efficiency and best practices.
With strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement, he will significantly enhance the cost-effectiveness and machine reliability for operation.

Qualifications:

BE/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical 3 to 5 years' experience with exposure of Underground mines in Drills/TME.
Well Experience with SHE standard and guidelines.
Technical Competent on HEMM Underground machinery.
Having good troubleshooting skills on Underground Drilling Equipment Hydraulic as well as in electrical system.

Having good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with strong presentation skills.
