Job summary

PayU Payments Private Limited, Mumbai, seeks an Associate Product Manager for the Lending Platform. You will drive integration with lending service providers, define requirements, and guide product development from concept to launch within regulated frameworks.

You will work across teams to scale loan products, monitor KPIs, and optimize the customer journey through API-based lending solutions and BRE familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM.
• 3+ years of product management experience in fintech / lending.
• Experience in growth hacking, performance marketing, or conversion optimization.
• Hands-on UX skills with Figma and AI tools (ChatGPT/Claude).
• BRE experience and credit underwriting knowledge preferred.

Job Title: Associate Product Manager – Lending Platform

Location: Mumbai

Job Overview:

As a Product Manager for our Digital Ecosystem business, you will be responsible for integration with our Lending Service Providers for business loan products. In our lending journey and will be responsible for scaling and adding existing / new programs. Loan origination systems, KYC, user onboarding and drive API based lending platform solutions and integrations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, oversee product development, and ensure successful product launches that meet customer needs within the regulated framework.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Define and prioritize product requirements and roadmaps for the platform, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Hands on work on database to understand the product data flow and come up with solutions to solve for business, operations and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new features to scale and sustain business loans business.
• Analyze funnel metrics, identify drop-off points, and track KPIs to improve user journey and conversion rates
• Define and analyse metrics that will drive the success of these product shipments.
• Engage closely with customers and internal teams to gather and address feedback.
• Manage the product lifecycle from concept to sprint executions to roll out while operating across cross-functional teams.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in STEM related fields.

3+ year of product management experience. Experience in fintech / lending mandatory.

Background in growth hacking, performance marketing, or conversion optimization.

Hands on UX building tools like Figma & AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude Code for building quick journeys.

Preferred experience with Business Rules Engines (BRE) and a decent understanding of credit underwriting processes, repayments and collections.

Skills & Competencies

Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive, data-driven product plans. Must be able to identify long-term opportunities and challenges while balancing short-term needs.

Technical Proficiency: Strong technical acumen with an understanding of software architecture, data systems, and modern software development practices. Familiarity with APIs, cloud services, and scalable platforms is highly desirable.

User-Centric Design: Experience with user-centred design principles and practices. Ability to work closely with UX/UI teams to ensure the product meets high usability standards and addresses user pain points effectively.

Analytical Skills: Proficient in using analytics tools to monitor success metrics and make data-driven decisions. Ability to interpret complex data and turn insights into actionable changes.

Project Management: Excellent project management skills, including the ability to define project scopes, allocate resources, manage timelines, and mitigate risks. Experience with JIRA/Agile and Scrum methodologies is must.

Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively at all levels of the organization. Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
