Job summary

Sayyam Investments Private Limited in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Product Manager (5–8 years) to own areas of our loan marketplace app. You will drive the roadmap, work with engineering, design, risk, and business teams, and use data to improve borrower and lender experience.

Qualifications

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Product Manager (5–8 years) to own and grow key parts of our loan marketplace app — the platform that connects borrowers with lenders and helps them find, compare, and apply for the right loan. You'll drive the product roadmap for your area, work closely with engineering, design, risk, and business teams, and use data to continuously improve the borrower and lender experience. This role requires someone who has shipped digital consumer-facing products at scale, is comfortable owning API integrations with partners, and can lead GTM planning alongside the tech team.

What You'll Do

• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for one or more areas of the loan marketplace (e.g., loan discovery & comparison, application/onboarding flow, lender integrations, eligibility & offers, or post-disbursal experience).
• Define and prioritize the product roadmap based on user research, business goals, and data insights.
• Write clear PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria; work with design and engineering to ship features end-to-end.
• Partner with data/analytics to define success metrics (conversion, approval rates, drop-off, NPS, etc.) and track feature performance post-launch.
• Collaborate with risk, compliance, and legal teams to ensure lending flows meet regulatory requirements (KYC, credit checks, disclosures, etc.).
• Work with lender/partner teams to manage integrations, offer logic, and marketplace matching rules.
• Own API integration requirements with lending partners, bureaus, KYC/verification vendors, and other third-party services — from scoping and documentation through to launch and monitoring.
• Partner closely with the tech team on architecture trade-offs, sprint planning, and technical feasibility discussions; be comfortable in the details of system design conversations without needing to write code.
• Build and drive go-to-market (GTM) plans for new features, partner launches, and product expansions — coordinating across marketing, sales, operations, and tech for successful rollouts.
• Run A/B tests and iterate based on funnel and conversion data across the borrower journey.
• Gather and synthesize feedback from users, customer support, and sales to identify pain points and opportunities.
• Communicate roadmap, progress, and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders and leadership.

What We're Looking For

• 5–8 years of product management experience, ideally in fintech, lending, marketplaces, or other digital consumer-facing products.
• Proven track record of building and scaling consumer-facing digital products, with clear ownership of metrics like activation, conversion, and retention.
• Hands-on experience owning or working closely on API integrations with third-party partners (payment gateways, credit bureaus, KYC/verification providers, lending partners, etc.).
• Experience designing and executing GTM plans for product or feature launches, including cross-functional coordination with marketing, sales, and operations.
• Strong track record of working day-to-day with tech/engineering teams — comfortable in sprint planning, technical trade-off discussions, and system design conversations.
• Strong understanding of funnel/conversion metrics and experience running A/B tests.
• Comfortable working with data (SQL a plus) to inform decisions and measure impact.
• Experience writing detailed PRDs and driving execution end-to-end in an agile environment.
• Familiarity with lending, credit, or financial services concepts (loan underwriting, KYC, credit scoring) is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication skills — able to align cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, design, risk, compliance, business).
• User-first mindset with strong problem-solving and prioritization skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in a two-sided marketplace or fintech lending product.
• Experience managing multiple partner API integrations simultaneously in a lending or fintech context.
• Exposure to regulatory/compliance considerations in lending (RBI guidelines, NBFC partnerships, etc., if India-based).
• Experience with tools like Jira, Amplitude/Mixpanel, Figma, Postman/API documentation tools, and SQL.
