Job summary

Jaquar Group is seeking a product development professional for consumer lighting. The role focuses on building a new portfolio in line with the company roadmap and compliance, while coordinating with suppliers, R&D, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely launches and continuous product improvements.

Responsibilities include market research, cost estimation, BOM finalisation, and post-launch support to meet both Indian and international standards.

• Develop new consumer lighting product portfolio in line with Jaquar's product roadmap and compliance.
• Support strategic plans for lighting projects aligning with company goals and client needs.
• Visit markets and clients to collect ideas and feedback from customers and the market.
• Suggest innovations to seniors regarding improvements or upgrades to products.
• Ensure adherence to development guidelines at production and supplier ends; follow up with suppliers and review progress.
• Develop products per international and Indian standards including BOM finalisation and technical discussions.
• Perform pre-dispatch inspections at suppliers to ensure outgoing product quality meets Jaquar standards.
• Analyze product failures to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Maintain the repository for all technical product documents.
• Act as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to tender evaluations and collaborate with R&D for product sustainability.
• Meet workgroup goals within technical and financial objectives; support RFQs and bids.
• Demonstrate strong technical understanding of requirements for customers and organization.
• Collect data for cost estimation and value engineering monthly; plan and execute new launches and phase-outs.
• Guide product/tool design teams for faster development and provide continuous R&D support.
• Submit analysis reports to stakeholders and impart Jaquar product trainings to concerned stakeholders.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Development of new portfolio of consumer lighting products as per compliance and in line with Jaquars Product Roadmap.
• Support in developing and implementing strategic plans for lighting projects that align with company goals and client needs .
• Visit market, clients & do the research work to collect ideas and feedback from customers and the market .
• Bring up innovative ideas in the notice of your seniors with respecte to improvements/ upgradationin the existing range as well as the new products
• Take ownership of the adherence of guidelines of all development related activities at production unit and suppliers end Perform supplier follow-up and do timely visits to tract and review project progress Perform testing and evaluation of products and per the requisite standards at various product development stages .
• Responsible for development of different products as per international and Indian standards including component selection, BOM finalisation, and technical discussions
• Perform regular pre-dispatch inspection at the suppliers end to ensure that the quality of the outgoing product is as per Jaquars standards
• Do analysis of product failures to deduce conclusions and extract the root cause of the same
• Maintain the repository for all technical documents related to products
• Act as a primary point of contact for internal as well as external stakeholders
• Perform Tender evaluation and collaborate with The R&D team to ensure the sustainability of products
• Meet workgroup goals within organizations technical and financial objectives, support RFQs and Bids on time
• Demonstrate clear technical understanding and skills of all technical requirements as per the need of the organization and customers
• Collect data and perform cost estimation and value engineering on a monthly basis Plan and execute new product launches and phasing out of discontinued products
• Plan and re-launch the phased out products with the requisite modifications and upgrades Support and guide the product /tool design team for a faster development of products
• Provide continuous guidance support to R&D team for development of new products in line with market trends and business strategies Collect data/inputs and submit reports post analysis to concerned stakeholders
• Impart Jaquar product trainings to concerned stake holder
