Job summary

ALLEN Digital is seeking a Lead for Category Experience to own the end-to-end definition of the NEET/JEE student learning experience across our platform. You will work with platform and academic teams to specify capabilities, set success criteria, validate outcomes, and iterate until the experience exceeds local coaching standards.

You will design experiences for different student segments, focusing on personalisation, data, and feedback loops to drive engagement and learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years in ed-tech product management.
• 2–3 years owning a learning experience or category experience (NEET/JEE/equivalent).
• Data-driven with funnels and cohort analyses.
• Ship experiments weekly with fast decisions.

Job description

We're hiring a Lead for Category Experience who will own the end-to-end definition of what the NEET/JEE student's learning experience should look like across our platform and work with platform and academic teams to make it real. You'll define what "great" looks like at each touchpoint, write the specifications that platform teams build against, set the success criteria, validate outcomes, and iterate until the experience is demonstrably better than what a student gets at a local coaching centre.

What You'll Own

• Map the complete student learning journey—from pre-class preparation through live classes, post-class revision, homework, practice, tests, and doubt resolution—and define the ideal experience at each stage.
• Translate pedagogical intent into product specifications:
• What should the practice room experience feel like?
• How should test analytics be surfaced to drive behaviour change?
• What's the right engagement loop between live classes and self-study?
• What nudges drive accountability?
• Benchmark against what top local coaching institutes deliver in person. Identify where online falls short and where it can leapfrog through personalisation, data, and feedback loops.
• Design experiences for different student segments—first-timers, repeaters/droppers, and different score bands—not a one-size-fits-all approach.

What We're Looking For

• 6–10 years in ed-tech product management, with at least 2–3 years owning a learning experience or category experience for a competitive exam segment (NEET/JEE/equivalent).
• You've operated as the person who defines the end-to-end experience and works through other platform teams to get it built.
• Data-fluent. You think in funnels, cohort analyses, and leading vs. lagging indicators.
• High experimentation clock speed. You ship experiments weekly, not quarterly. You're comfortable with imperfect data and fast decisions.
• Business instinct. You connect product work to business outcomes naturally. You don't just ship features—you think about whether those features drive retention, NPS, and revenue.

Nice to Have

• Direct experience with NEET/medical entrance exam preparation.
• Experience with cohort-based or live-class models (not just async/recorded content).
• Familiarity with NPS-driven improvement cycles and renewal economics.
