Responsibilities

• Own the NPD roadmap for the hair beauty category from concept to launch
• Manage formulation and sourcing partners ensuring quality and BIS compliance

• Run ongoing trend and product research for Indian and global beauty trends
• Provide pricing inputs to sales based on cost structure and market position
• Partner with Creative Head on packaging design and storytelling
• Oversee product testing and QC ahead of every launch
• Ensure partners meet regulatory standards on an ongoing basis

About the role

The Beauty Product Head owns the NPD roadmap for HDC's hair beauty category — perfumes, hair extensions, and adjacent SKUs — from concept through launch, reporting to the CSMO. This role carries end-to-end category ownership: formulation and sourcing, cost structure, launch cadence, and go-to-market, working closely with Procurement, Creative, and Sales.

Responsibilities

• Own the NPD roadmap for the hair beauty category — perfumes, hair extensions, and adjacent SKUs — from concept to launch
• Manage formulation and sourcing partners in coordination with the Procurement Manager – Beauty, ensuring quality and compliance with BIS/cosmetic regulations
• Own the category-specific cost structure and margin management
• Set and execute the launch cadence for new beauty SKUs
• Run ongoing trend and product research — Indian and global beauty trends relevant to the hair category
• Conduct competitive analysis and translate consumer insights into product decisions
• Provide pricing inputs to the sales team based on category cost structure and market positioning
• Partner with the Creative Head on packaging design and category storytelling
• Own product testing and QC protocols ahead of every launch
• Ensure formulation and sourcing partners meet BIS and applicable cosmetic regulatory standards on an ongoing basis
• Manage & own NPD calendar

Candidate requirements

• Prior experience at a leading hair beauty brand (India or international)
• Experience owning NPD roadmaps from concept through launch
• Working knowledge of BIS/cosmetic regulatory compliance
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with procurement, creative, and sales teams
• Experience owning category cost structure and pricing inputs
• Direct experience with perfumes and/or hair extensions as product categories
• Experience in a D2C/ecommerce beauty brand environment
• Min. 8 years experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or Cosmetology (mandatory)
