Spectrum Filtration in Kolkata seeks a Product Development Manager with deep expertise in air filtration products for commercial and industrial HVAC. You will own the full development cycle from concept to validation, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure standards compliance while optimizing cost and manufacturability. Strong CAD skills and global collaboration are essential for this role.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience in Product Development / NPD.
• Experience in design and development of air filtration or HVAC related products.
• Hands-on CAD experience with major design tools (Solid Edge, Pro/Engineer, CREO, CATIA, AutoCAD).

Role & responsibilities

Product Development Manager with deep expertise in air filtration products or air handling unit for commercial and industrial HVAC applications. Hold with strong foundation in structured R&D, product development and performance validation. Proven ability to own the complete product development cycle from concept definition and technical architecture to standards compliance, testing & validation, Design and continuous improvement. Experienced in leading cross functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable and market ready Air filtration products aligned with business objectives and market requirements.:

• Managed a diversified air filtration product portfolio supporting commercial and industrial HVAC applications, including Life science filtration, gas phase filtration, IAQ filtration units, and gas turbine inlet air filtration solutions.
• Spearheaded new product development initiatives from concept design, feasibility study, detailed engineering, testing, certification and market release.
• Defined product architecture, design standards, and technical specifications to support scalable and modular filtration platforms.
• Led engineering to order activities, delivering customized air filtration solutions aligned with project specific requirements, regional standards and customer specifications.
• Collaborated with global engineering teams, manufacturing, quality, supply chain and sourcing to ensure design for manufacturability and cost optimization.
• Ensured compliance with ASHRAE, ISO, EN, UL and customer specific standards, supporting global market requirements.
• Contributed to business revenue by driving UL and ISO certifications for air filtration products and enabling product localization through regional and global manufacturing facilities.
• Improved product reliability and manufacturability, reduction in rework and design change cycles through structured ECR and ECO execution and cross-functional collaboration.
• Design the air intake filters structural design and drafting with releasing for manufacturing.
• Performed pipe sizing and specification calculations for air intake and auxiliary piping systems.
• Collaborated with global engineering teams and external consultants to align design deliverables with customer requirements.
• Ensured compliance with international piping codes (ANSI, ASME, EN) in design documentation and specifications.
• Sketched outline designs and used CAD Programs to provide detailed design and specifications.
• Suitable with Health and safety practices were followed both in daily work and incorporated with product design.
• Supported Technical Support team on various mechanical queries to resolve issues promptly.
• Contributing to negotiations with suppliers and customers as well as coordination of fabricators.
• Recording and tracking of engineering hours utilized for various projects.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidate should be having minimum 8 + years experiences in Product Development and NPD.

Good Experience in Design & Development of Air Filtration product or HVAC related product.

Hands on experiences in Solid Edge , Pro-Engineer 4.0 & CREO 2.0 and Catia V5, 3Dexperience CATIA, and Auto CAD.

Qualification: B.Tech /B.E (Mechanical/Electrical) or Diploma (Electrical/Mechanical).
