Job summary

ELGi Equipments Limited is seeking a New Product Development Engineer to drive end-to-end development of new products, from concept design to prototype development and cross-functional coordination, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery.

You will work in a robust in-house R&D environment, gain exposure to state-of-the-art facilities, and contribute to patents and IP development within the PE&I framework.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Full-Time) is required.
• 2–16 years of experience in design calculations involving parts, subsystems and product integration.
• Exposure to CAD/CAM, Thermal, Heat & Mass Transfer, Fluid Mechanics and Applied Mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Design new parts, subsystems, and their integration into products.
• Concept development, design improvement, problem solving, design verification, and stakeholder coordination.
• Create 3D models and GD&T compliant details; conduct design reviews and prepare documentation.
• Follow DFMEA, DFM, DFA, DFS processes and manage changes.
