Job summary

Keemti Gems Jewellery Retail Limited in Mumbai is seeking a Research & Product Development Executive to support the creation of innovative jewellery collections, from trend research to concept to final product launch.

You will collaborate with design, merchandising, sourcing and manufacturing teams, analyse customer preferences, and help craft briefs, costings and launch plans to deliver commercially viable products. Strong coordination and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Market & trend research: track domestic and international jewellery trends and competitor collections.
• Product development: support development of new jewellery collections from concept to launch, coordinating with design, merchandising, sourcing and manufacturing teams.
• Product analysis & range planning: analyse performance, feedback, sell-through data and identify opportunities; support range planning by category and design.
• Coordination & documentation: coordinate with vendors and internal teams for sample development, maintain records of specifications, costing and approvals.

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Research & Product Development Executive to support the development of innovative jewellery collections. The role will involve researching market trends, analysing customer preferences, coordinating with design and sourcing teams, and supporting the end-to-end product development process.

Key Responsibilities:

Market & Trend Research

• Research domestic and international jewellery trends, consumer preferences, fashion trends, and competitor collections.
• Track emerging trends in lab-grown diamonds, natural diamonds, gold, silver, gemstones, and jewellery designs.
• Conduct market visits, competitor store visits, exhibitions, and online research to gather product insights.
• Prepare trend reports, competitor analysis, and product recommendations for management.

Product Development

• Support the development of new jewellery collections from concept to final product launch.
• Work closely with design, merchandising, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to develop commercially viable products.
• Assist in creating product briefs based on trend research, price points, customer requirements, and category needs.
• Coordinate sample development, product modifications, approvals, and finalisation of designs.
• Ensure products meet quality, design, cost, and delivery requirements

Product Analysis & Range Planning

• Analyse product performance, customer feedback, sell-through data, and store requirements.
• Identify fast-moving, slow-moving, and gap categories to recommend new product opportunities.
• Support range planning by category, collection, price point, metal, diamond weight, and design type.
• Maintain product development trackers, sample status reports, and launch calendars.

Coordination & Documentation

• Coordinate with vendors, manufacturers, CAD designers, and internal teams for sample development and follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate records of product specifications, costing, product codes, sample approvals, and vendor details.
• Ensure timely communication of product changes, feedback, and approvals to relevant stakeholders.
• Support product photoshoots, catalogue preparation, product uploads, and launch readiness.
