Job summary

Roovi in Jaipur, India seeks a creative jewellery designer to craft new collections across rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets and pendants. You will develop trend-driven concepts and translate them into production-ready designs with precise measurements.

The role involves creating hand sketches or digital designs, collaborating with manufacturing to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness, and maintaining design records for timely milestones.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in jewellery designing preferred.
• Strong understanding of silver jewellery design and manufacturing.
• Good knowledge of jewellery proportions, measurements, stones and finishing.
• Strong creative sense with an understanding of contemporary jewellery trends.
• Knowledge with jewellery design software such as Rhino, Matrix, JewelCAD, CorelDRAW or similar tools will be an advantage.
• Ability to create clean and detailed sketches.
• Good understanding of production feasibility and jewellery costing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design new jewellery collections including rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, pendants and other jewellery pieces.
• Develop original and commercially viable jewellery concepts based on current trends and customer preferences.
• Create hand sketches, technical drawings and/or digital jewellery designs.
• Convert concepts into production-ready designs with accurate measurements and specifications.
• Work closely with the production/manufacturing team to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective to manufacture.
• Research current jewellery trends, designs, materials and market preferences.
• Create variations and modifications of existing designs based on business requirements.
• Assist in developing seasonal, festive and new product collections for Roovi.
• Maintain proper records of designs, specifications and revisions.
• Coordinate with the team to ensure the final product matches the approved design.
