Job summary

Eka Care is seeking a Product Designer to craft the next generation of our AI-powered healthcare EMR platform. You will translate complex clinical workflows into simple, scalable SaaS experiences for doctors, patients, and hospital staff.

The role emphasizes understanding users, rapid prototyping with Figma, and contributing to a unified design system across EMRs, PHRs, and AI flows. Collaboration with product and engineering is essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience as a Product/UI-UX Designer for B2B SaaS or healthcare products, with a strong portfolio.
• Curiosity to deeply understand users before designing solutions, with strong UX thinking.
• Experience designing for complex workflows and multi-persona journeys; familiarity with healthcare UX challenges is a plus.
• Ownership mindset; you drive problems to completion.
• Understanding of frontend principles (HTML/CSS, component architecture) to guide engineering from design.
• Prototyping fast with time-to-prototype in hours.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Eka Care is India's AI-native ambient health platform, building the connected digital health stack for doctors, hospitals, patients, and developers. Its product suite spans EkaDoc EMR (the modern clinic OS), EkaScribe.AI (AI-driven voice-to-prescription), Eka PHR (a personal health record app), and a Developer Portal offering clinical-grade healthcare APIs — all ABDM and FHIR compliant, and secured on AWS. Eka Care has onboarded 33,000+ clinics and hospitals and 90,000+ doctors, created 20 million+ ABHA health IDs, and manages 140 million+ health records. We’re looking for a Product Designer to help build the next generation of our Healthcare EMR platform.

This role is for someone who enjoys understanding complex user problems, talking to customers, and turning insights into simple, scalable SaaS experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design agentic and AI-powered end-to-end user flows across mobile and web for doctors, patients, and enterprises.
• Own features end-to-end—from understanding the problem to shipping polished, compliant designs—working closely with product and engineering.
• Spend time with doctors, nurses, receptionists, and hospital staff to understand real-world clinical workflows, and conduct user research to validate ideas and iterate on feedback.
• Accelerate design thinking—use AI tools actively to:
  • Generate wireframes, flows, and screen variants in hours, not days
  • Run rapid concept exploration using prompts and AI-generated mockups
  • Reduce cycle time from brief to shippable prototype
• Contribute to and evolve our design system used across EMRs, PHRs, and AI-driven flows, maintaining a high bar for usability and consistency.
• Design for real-world constraints: offline-first, multilingual, low-tech environments.
• Bring structure to complexity through wireframes, flows, and thoughtful interaction design.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers and guide implementation from a frontend-aware design perspective.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience as a Product/UI-UX Designer, ideally for B2B SaaS or healthcare products, with a strong portfolio demonstrating product thinking, systems thinking, and design craft—real shipped work.
• Curiosity to deeply understand users before designing solutions, with strong UX thinking and proficiency in Figma.
• Experience designing for complex workflows and multi-persona journeys; familiarity with healthcare, fintech, or regulated-industry UX challenges is a plus.
• A strong sense of ownership—you don't wait to be told what to do; you drive problems to completion.
• A good understanding of frontend principles (HTML/CSS, component architecture) to guide engineering from a design perspective.
• Proven ability to prototype fast—you measure time-to-prototype in hours, not weeks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus Points if You Have

• Exposure to Healthcare, EMR/EHR, or Hospital Information Systems.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Built products that shipped to real customers and iterated based on feedback.
• Demonstrated ownership of a feature or product area from discovery to launch.
