Job summary

KeyValue seeks a Product Architect to own the technical direction of our products end‑to‑end, setting the architectural bar and guiding engineers through complex problems. You will partner with product, engineering and business teams to ensure scalable, reliable systems.

You will translate requirements into robust designs, evaluate AI-enabled approaches, and drive architecture decisions that balance performance, security and cost.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on software product development and architecture experience.
• Experience building AI-enabled or AI-assisted products is required.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, system design, data structures and algorithms.
• Proven experience with microservices, distributed systems and high-availability architectures.
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages (Java, Python, Node.js, Go, Scala, Rust).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, REST and GraphQL designs, and system integrations.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and container tech (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, observability and production reliability.
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into clear technical direction.

• Make and defend architectural decisions considering performance, security, reliability, maintainability and cost.

• Lead engineers through hard technical problems and maintain cross-team architecture consistency.
• Run architecture reviews and raise the engineering bar through best practices and mentoring.
• Evaluate AI, automation and emerging tech for real product use, focusing on signal over hype.

We’re looking for a Product Architect to own the technical direction of our products end to end from the first architecture decision to systems running reliably at scale. You'll set the technical bar, make the hard calls on architecture and technology and lead engineers through complex problems. Just as important: you'll be the person who spots the problem early and brings the solution, working shoulder to shoulder with product, engineering and business teams.

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of experience in building and shipping software products, with strong hands‑on engineering depth.
• Hands‑on experience building AI/LLM-enabled products or working with AI-assisted development.
• Strong expertise in software architecture, system design, design patterns and data structures and algorithms.
• Proven experience with microservices, distributed systems, event‑driven and high‑availability architectures.
• Strong in one or more backend languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, Go, Scala, or Rust.
• Solid experience with relational and NoSQL databases, API design across REST and GraphQL and system integrations.
• Hands‑on with AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud‑native patterns.
• Good grasp of DevOps, CI/CD, observability, testing and production reliability.
• A track record of turning ambiguous requirements into clear technical direction and getting a team to rally behind it.
• A sharp communicator who can explain trade‑offs to engineers, product and business teams alike.
