Job summary

Siemens Gamesa, a global leader in wind energy technology, seeks a Procurement Technician to support uninterrupted manufacturing by ensuring timely material availability for generator production. You will partner with suppliers, production teams, and supply chain stakeholders to manage purchasing, deliveries, and data accuracy.

You will contribute to supply chain continuity, reduce production risk, and drive efficient procurement operations within a global manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 5+ years in operational procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial or wind power preferred.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supplier relationship management.
• Proficient with ERP systems and data-driven procurement.

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Procurement Technician within the Wind Power Generators Procurement team, you will support uninterrupted manufacturing operations by ensuring the timely availability of materials for generator production. You will work closely with suppliers, production teams, and supply chain stakeholders to manage purchasing activities, monitor deliveries, and maintain accurate procurement data.

Your role will be essential in maintaining supply chain continuity, minimizing production risks, and supporting efficient procurement operations within a global manufacturing environment.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Execute purchase requisitions and manage purchase orders in SAP, ensuring accurate pricing, delivery schedules, and procurement data.
• Monitor supplier deliveries, expedite critical orders, and proactively resolve material shortages that could impact production.
• Act as the primary operational contact for suppliers, coordinating delivery performance and supporting issue resolution with quality and logistics teams.
• Maintain ERP master data, generate procurement reports, and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and supply chain performance.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in operational procurement, purchasing, or supply chain roles, preferably within manufacturing, industrial, or wind power industries.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier relationship management, order tracking, and expediting activities.
• Hands-on experience with SAP MM (Materials Management) or similar ERP systems.
• Experience with data analysis, reporting, inventory management principles, and procurement KPI tracking.
• Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across suppliers, procurement, logistics, quality, and production teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and operational discipline.

About The Team

You will be part of the Wind Power Generators Procurement team, supporting the Powertrain business by ensuring a reliable and efficient supply chain for generator manufacturing. The team works closely with suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders to secure material availability, optimize procurement performance, and support business continuity.
