Qualifications

• 5+ years of total experience, with 3+ years in wind energy preferred.
• Design and development of medium to large-scale steel structures.
• Design of bolted, welded, and sheet metal structures.
• Create 2D manufacturing drawings using Siemens NX.
• Knowledge of PLM (Teamcenter) processes.
• Understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis for components.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop equipment and tools for lifting, transport, pre-assembly and installation of wind turbine components.
• Perform basic structural load calculations and load path evaluations.
• Carry out rigging calculations and preliminary FEM validation during concept development.
• Create and maintain Bills of Materials, Material Masters and inspection specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality designs on schedule.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Minimum 5 years of overall experience, with at least 3 years of relevant experience in the wind energy industry preferred.
• Proven experience in the design and development of medium to large-scale steel structures.
• Strong expertise in the design of bolted, welded, and sheet metal structures.
• Proficient in creating 2D manufacturing drawings for sheet metal, welded fabrications, and assemblies using Siemens NX.
• Good understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes and Teamcenter.
• Sound knowledge of GD&T/GPS standards and tolerance stack-up analysis for mechanical components and assemblies.
• Good understanding of DFMEA and design risk assessment methodologies.
• Experience in creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOM), Material Masters, and inspection specifications for wind turbine components.
