24x7 Corporate Solutions in Chennai seeks a sourcing professional to develop a robust supplier ecosystem, identify new sourcing opportunities across India and international markets, manage imports and negotiate commercials, ensuring quality and timely availability.

The role collaborates with Production, Product Development, R&D, Marketing, Quality and Design to source new products and materials, optimize landed costs, lead times, and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Exposure to consumer products and international sourcing.
• Experience in imports, raw material procurement, and supplier development.
• Ability to source new products and components.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing of finished products, raw materials, packaging and other direct materials.
• Identify and evaluate new domestic and international suppliers by quality, cost, capability and capacity.
• Coordinate freight forwarders, customs brokers, finance and logistics for imports.
• Manage freight, duties, landed cost, payment terms, lead times and import docs.
• Collaborate with production, development, R&D, marketing, quality and design to source new products.
• Evaluate specs, MOQ, tooling costs, packaging, lead times and production capabilities.
• Source key raw materials per business requirements and production plans.
• Establish supplier performance metrics for quality, cost, delivery and compliance.

Role & responsibilities

The role will be responsible for developing a robust supplier ecosystem, identifying new sourcing opportunities across India and international markets, managing imports, negotiating competitive commercials, ensuring quality and timely availability, and driving continuous cost optimization.

The ideal candidate should have strong exposure toconsumer products, international sourcing, imports, raw material procurement, supplier development and new product sourcing.

• Lead end-to-end sourcing offinished products, raw materials, packaging materials, components and other direct materials.
• Identify and evaluate new domestic and international suppliers based on quality, cost, capability, capacity and reliability.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, finance and logistics teams to ensure smooth import execution.
• Understand and manage freight, duties, landed cost, payment terms, lead times and import documentation
• Work closely withProduction,Product Development, R&D, Marketing, Quality and Design teamsto source new products and components
• Evaluate product specifications, MOQ, tooling/mould costs, packaging requirements, lead times and production capabilities
• Sourcing and procurement of key raw materials based on business requirements and production plans
