Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Procurement Support Specialist or Spot/Tactical Buyer, you will support various stages of the Source-to-Contract (S2C) process. You will collaborate with procurement managers, category leads, legal teams, and cross-functional departments to ensure effective sourcing, contracting, and compliance.
For Procurement Support Specialist Role:
- Respond to procurement and contract‑related queries using tools, systems, and templates.
- Draft and review agreements using client templates.
- Perform tactical assessments of contracts and analyze spend data.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and legal for contract finalization.
For Spot/Tactical Buyer Role:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for goods and services.
- Conduct market research and vendor assessments.
- Negotiate terms and pricing, and manage vendor relationships.
- Drive procurement projects, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and ensure policy compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Plan and execute procurement‑related projects from start to finish.
- Create project plans, timelines, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Track progress, resolve roadblocks, and ensure timely delivery.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across departments.
- Provide timely updates and coordinate project communications.
- Facilitate alignment on goals and action plans.
Operational Support
- Enhance Procurement Execution Hub (PEH) deliverables.
- Assist in system integration and process improvement.
- Support end‑to‑end procurement operations and documentation.
Tail Spend Services
- Analyze purchasing data to optimize tail spend.
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities in low‑value, high‑volume purchases.
- Create and implement control strategies to manage tail spend efficiently.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare status reports, summaries, and stakeholder presentations.
- Document all project‑related activities and maintain version control.
- Deliver reporting in formats such as Excel and PowerPoint.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- 2–6 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder engagement skills
- Knowledge of procurement tools and systems (SAP Ariba, Coupa, etc. preferred)
- Analytical mindset with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and negotiation skills
- Understanding of S2C processes and tail spend management is a plus
