Responsibilities

• Raw Material Procurement: Develop and implement a robust procurement strategy for major feed ingredients (maize, soybean meal, bran, molasses, etc.).
• Cost Optimization & Inventory Control: Monitor markets, price trends, and risks to drive cost efficiencies; maintain optimum inventory levels across plants.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Negotiate long‑term contracts and pricing with suppliers; establish vendor evaluation systems.
• Process Standardization & ERP Implementation: Implement ERP-driven procurement workflows; standardize processes across plants.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Work with plant heads, production, quality, and logistics to align procurement with production planning.

Objective:

To lead raw material procurement and supply chain optimization across all manufacturing plants, ensuring uninterrupted production, cost efficiency, and quality standards while establishing direct sourcing linkages to strengthen KKUL's market leadership and readiness for public markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Raw Material Procurement:

• Develop and implement a robust procurement strategy for major feed ingredients (maize, soybean meal, bran, molasses, etc.).
• Ensure consistent supply of raw materials to all production units while managing seasonal and market fluctuations.
• Build and maintain supplier and farmer networks for cost-effective and direct sourcing.

Cost Optimization & Inventory Control:

• Monitor commodity markets, price trends, and procurement risks to drive cost efficiencies.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels across plants to ensure smooth production without overstocking.
• Collaborate with finance to manage working capital linked to raw material sourcing.

Supplier Relationship Management:

• Negotiate long‑term contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers and aggregators.
• Establish vendor evaluation systems to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance.

Process Standardization & ERP Implementation:

• Implement ERP‑driven procurement workflows for transparency and efficiency.
• Standardize procurement processes across all plants for centralized control and reporting.

Cross-functional Coordination:

• Work closely with plant heads, production, and quality teams to align procurement with production planning.
• Partner with logistics to ensure efficient inbound supply chain management.

Key Requirements:

• Experience: 10+ years in procurement/supply chain, with a strong focus on agri‑commodities or feed/raw materials.
• Market Expertise: In‑depth knowledge of commodity markets, rural sourcing ecosystems, and vendor management.
• Education: Graduate in Agriculture/Engineering/Commerce; MBA in Supply Chain/Operations preferred from premium B school.
• Skills: Negotiation, supplier development, risk management, ERP proficiency, and cost optimization.
• Preferred: Experience in feed, dairy, agri‑processing, or FMCG sectors with multi‑plant procurement exposure.
