Job Overview

As the Raw Material Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the sourcing, purchasing, and management of raw materials essential for our product manufacturing processes. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic procurement plans to ensure the timely availability of raw materials required for production, while optimizing costs and minimizing risks.

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers and vendors, conducting thorough assessments of their capabilities, reliability, and adherence to quality and sustainability standards.

• Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and service level agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions for the procurement of raw materials.

• Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and risk mitigation.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and logistics, to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and resolve any supply chain disruptions.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and ethical sourcing practices in the procurement of raw materials.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, internal departments, and executive management, fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual trust.

• Implement and maintain robust systems and processes for tracking procurement activities, managing contracts, and evaluating supplier performance.

• Drive initiatives to promote sustainability, diversity, and social responsibility within the supply chain, aligning with the company's values and objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

• Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the personal care product industry or related sectors.

• Strong knowledge of raw materials used in personal care product manufacturing, including chemicals, ingredients, and packaging materials.

• Demonstrated expertise in supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization strategies.

• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, conduct market research, and make informed decisions.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and resolve conflicts.

• Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
