The ideal candidate has 4–10 years of on-ground procurement experience in plastic scraps, with strong negotiation and supplier development skills. Delhi NCR location; travel expected.

• Commercial Negotiation: negotiate per-kg rates, allowances, freight terms and payment cycles.
• Pre-Dispatch Inspection: inspect scrap lots for contamination, moisture and polymer grade before loading.
• Supply Continuity & Plant Coordination: coordinate dispatch with production plans and logistics to prevent stockouts.
• Market Intelligence: track price movements in virgin polymers and domestic scrap indexes.

About the Company:

Recycle Plastics (Sunrise Group) is one of Indias pioneering plastic recycling corporations, established in 1985. Operating 9 recycling plants across India with a processing capacity of 36,000 MT per annum, we supply near-virgin quality PE and PP compounds to domestic brands and export to 13 countries. The parent group is led by CMD Mr. Rakesh Aggarwal (former Director of Vishal Mega Mart Ltd., Co-Founder of V-Mart Retail Ltd., and editor of the Indian Standards publication for the polymer industry).

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, commercially aggressive Procurement Manager to lead raw material sourcing across regional scrap mandis and national aggregator networks. This is a field-active procurement position focused on securing steady, cost-effective volumes of plastic scrap and regrinds to feed continuous extrusion plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Raw Material Sourcing: Procure monthly tonnage targets of LDPE film scrap, HDPE regrind/grindings, LLDPE, and industrial polyolefin feedstocks (drum grindings, pipe grindings, rotomoulding scrap).
• On-Ground Market Scouting: Regularly visit local and regional scrap markets (mandis), industrial clusters, and sorting centers across Delhi NCR and North India to identify new scrap traders and aggregators.
• Commercial Negotiation: Negotiate competitive per-kg purchase rates, weighbridge allowances, freight terms, and payment cycles to preserve operational gross margins.
• Pre-Dispatch Material Inspection: Physically inspect scrap lots at trader yards to evaluate contamination, foreign matter, moisture content, and polymer grade purity prior to loading.
• Supply Continuity & Plant Coordination: Synchronize dispatch schedules with factory production plans and logistics coordinators to prevent raw material stockouts.
• Market Intelligence: Actively track price movements across virgin polymers (Reliance, IOCL) and domestic scrap indexes to capitalize on favorable buying windows.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 4 to 10 years of on-ground procurement experience strictly within plastic scrap, regrinds, or recycled polymers.
• Solid technical eye for identifying polyolefins (LDPE, HDPE, LLDPE, PP), estimating melt/contamination risks, and assessing factory recovery yields.
• Established direct touchpoints with scrap aggregators, sorting centers, and scrap traders across North/Western India.
• Ready for extensive ground-level mandi visits and travel for supplier audits/development.
• Sharp negotiation ability with informal waste traders as well as structured corporate suppliers.
• Graduate (B.Com / B.Sc / B.Tech / BBA) or equivalent; relevant scrap sourcing track record takes precedence.
