Job summary

Cosy farms Inc. is seeking a proactive procurement professional to source mechanical, electrical, and fabricated components for our food-tech products. You will float RFQs, evaluate vendors on cost, quality, and lead times, and negotiate terms to secure reliable supply.

You will collaborate with engineering to interpret drawings and materials specs, maintain supplier records, and develop alternate vendors to reduce dependency while pursuing localisation and cost reduction opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Source mechanical, electrical, fabricated, and general engineering components required for Cosy’s products.
• Identify and develop new manufacturers, fabricators, and suppliers.
• Float RFQs, collect quotations, and compare vendors on cost, quality, lead time, and capability.
• Negotiate pricing, MOQ, payment terms and delivery timelines.
• Work closely with the engineering team to understand drawings, specifications, and material requirements.
• Source custom components including sheet metal parts, machined parts, plastics, enclosures, hardware and assemblies.
• Follow up with vendors from enquiry and order placement through production and final delivery.
• Maintain quotation comparisons, purchase records, vendor databases, and order trackers.
• Develop alternate vendors for critical components and reduce single-vendor dependency.
• Coordinate quality issues, replacements and corrective actions with suppliers.
• Visit suppliers and manufacturing facilities when required.
• Continuously identify opportunities for localisation, cost reduction and shorter lead times.
