Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in horticulture, agriculture, landscape architecture, civil engineering, business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in B2B sales, lead generation, client acquisition, relationship management, and business development.
  • Proven ability to generate leads, develop sales pipelines, negotiate, and close deals.
  • Strong understanding of client requirements and solution-based selling.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, interpersonal, and client-handling skills.
  • Ability to prepare and present proposals, presentations, quotations, and tenders.
  • Strong networking skills with builders, developers, architects, contractors, corporates, hospitality businesses, and other decision-makers.

Responsibilities

  • Handle end-to-end procurement activities for landscaping projects, nursery operations, and office requirements.
  • Source and procure plants, trees, palms, shrubs, fertilizers, pesticides, soil, manure, cocopeat, irrigation materials, landscaping tools, machinery, and consumables.
  • Obtain and compare quotations, pricing, specifications, quality, and delivery timelines from multiple vendors.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and favorable commercial terms.
  • Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) based on approved requirements.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites and nursery locations.
  • Track purchase orders, pending materials, delivery schedules, and procurement status.
  • Coordinate with site teams, stores, accounts, project managers, and vendors for smooth procurement operations.
  • Verify the quantity, quality, specifications, and condition of materials received at the site/store.
  • Handle vendor issues related to quality, shortage, damage, delivery delays, and replacements.
  • Maintain an updated vendor database, quotation records, purchase orders, invoices, and procurement documentation.
  • Monitor inventory and coordinate with site/store teams to avoid material shortages and unnecessary excess stock.
  • Develop alternative suppliers for critical landscaping materials to ensure continuous availability.
  • Support cost-control initiatives and identify opportunities for procurement cost savings.
  • Coordinate with the Accounts team regarding vendor invoices, payment documentation, and outstanding issues.
  • Prepare regular procurement reports, purchase summaries, vendor comparisons, and MIS reports for management.
  • Ensure procurement activities are carried out according to company policies, approved budgets, quality standards, and project requirements.
  • Maintain proper records of all procurement transactions and ensure timely documentation and reporting.
