JobDescription: Procurement Analyst
Position Overview
The Marketing Procurement Analyst will act as the dedicated interface between the Marketing function and Procurement, ensuring efficient sourcing, contracting, and stakeholder alignment across all marketing-related categories.The role requiresstrong analytical ability, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills tomanage multiple stakeholders and deliver cost-effective, compliant procurementoutcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Category Management
- • Manage end-to-end procurement activities across marketing-related spend categories:
- o Marketing agencies (creative, ATL/BTL, digital, PR, etc.)
- o Sales & distribution support services
- o Media buying (offline and online)
- o Digital marketing and influencer partnerships
- o POSM (Point of Sale Materials)
- o Market research and insights
- • Support category strategy development, supplier consolidation, and cost optimization initiatives.
Sourcing & Contracting
- • Drive RFQs/RFPs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and vendor onboarding.
- • Prepare, review, and finalize contracts in coordination with legal and internal stakeholders.
- • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and governance standards.
- • Maintain contract trackers, benchmarks, and supplier databases.
Stakeholder Management
- • Act as SPOC for Marketing team and liaise with Procurement, Legal, Finance, and other internal stakeholders.
- • Understand business requirements and translate them into sourcing solutions.
- • Manage expectations, timelines, and approvals effectively.
- • Build strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Analytical & Reporting
- • Conduct spend analysis, price benchmarking, and supplier performance evaluations.
- • Use Excel and data tools to generate insights, dashboards, and cost-saving reports.
- • Track savings, compliance, and procurement KPIs.
- • Prepare management reports and presentations with clear data-driven insights
Process & Governance
- • Ensure adherence to procurement processes, audit requirements, and company guidelines.
- • Support supplier performance management and periodic reviews.
- • Drive transparency and efficiency in procurement operations.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience
- • ~3 years of experience in procurement (preferably marketing/procurement or indirect categories).
- • Hands-on experience in sourcing and contracting is mandatory.
- Technical Skills
- • Strong analytical skills with ability to work with numbers and large datasets.
- • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis).
- • Exposure to contract drafting, negotiation, and commercial structuring.
- Soft Skills
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- • High attention to detail and structured thinking.
- • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
