Job Summary

To support and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Regnology s Research & Development (R&D) operations by optimizing business processes, managing and configuring our toolchain with a strong focus on Jira, and leveraging AI and automation to streamline workflows. The role contributes to the continuous improvement of our software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile ways of working, ensuring our R&D and Product Management (PM) teams have an efficient and scalable environment to deliver high-quality products.

Responsibilities

Process & Tooling Optimization

• Analyze and document existing R&D and PM business processes to identify opportunities for improvement, simplification, and automation.
• Support teams in applying and improving Agile ways of working tailored to business needs.
• Assist in evaluating and implementing tools and technologies that improve the Software Development Lifecycle, from requirements gathering to delivery.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and standardization of internal tooling and processes.

Jira & Atlassian Suite Management

• Serve as a key contact for Jira and other Atlassian products (e.g., Confluence), specifically Atlassian s Cloud Offering.
• Configure and maintain Jira workflows, schemes, custom fields, dashboards, automations, and other platform configurations to support the needs of R&D and PM teams.
• Support the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the Atlassian tool ecosystem.
• Develop and maintain documentation and training materials related to tooling and processes.
• Provide user support and guidance for Jira and related tools.

AI & Automation Initiatives

• Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve internal workflows and operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., in Python) to automate repetitive tasks and support integrations between tools within the SDLC ecosystem.
• Support initiatives related to automated reporting, workflow automation, and data analysis.
• Stay informed about emerging AI and automation capabilities relevant to software development and process optimization.

Collaboration & M&A Integration

• Collaborate closely with R&D, Product Management, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and support effective tooling and process solutions.
• Act as a bridge between R&D and PM teams to help ensure alignment between processes, tools, and operational needs.
• Support onboarding, training, and adoption of tooling and process improvements.
• Support the integration of R&D processes, systems, and toolchains during Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) activities where required.

Requirements

R&D Process Knowledge

• Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, tooling, and R&D operations.
• Practical experience working in Agile environments (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).

CI/CD & DevOps

• Practical experience with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, or equivalent)
• Ability to design pipeline templates, quality gates, and automated enforcement rules

AI & Emerging Technologies

• Practical understanding of AI concepts and interest in applying AI technologies to improve workflows and operational efficiency.

Jira Administration & Tooling

• Strong hands-on experience with Jira administration and configuration, including workflows, schemes, permissions, automations, and customizations.
• Experience with Atlassian products such as Confluence and related tooling ecosystems.

Automation & Scripting

• Experience with scripting and automation, preferably using Python.
• Familiarity with integrations and automation between development and collaboration tools.

API & Integration Engineering

• Advanced REST API, webhook, and event-driven integration design across toolchains
• Experience with Atlassian APIs (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) for automation, reporting, and governance tooling
• Familiarity with data pipeline patterns sourcing metrics across multiple systems

DocOps & Documentation Engineering

• Hands-on experience with Docs-as-Code: Markdown authoring, Git-based documentation workflows, and documentation publishing platforms
• Experience building documentation CI/CD pipelines - linting, link checking, build automation, and publishing integrations
• Understanding of documentation information architecture, metadata modelling, and structured content standards
