Job summary

Tecnicas Reunidas in Chennai, India, seeks an experienced Senior Engineer for Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Engineering in power plant projects. The role requires 10–15 years in relevant work, a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, and strong knowledge of plant systems.

You will operate in a multi-office, multi-disciplinary team with a high stress environment and must communicate fluently in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering required.
• 10–15 years of experience in Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of power plant systems and engineering calculations.

Responsibilities

• Development and supervision of pipe sizing, hydraulic calculations, heat and material balance, utilities summaries, and calculations.
• Development and supervision of Boiler Feedwater Pumps, Condensate Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Control Valves, Safety Valves.
• Preparation of Process / Functional Descriptions, Operating and Maintenance Manuals.
• Support other disciplines and prepare P&IDs / line lists.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelors degree in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

• 10-15 years of experience in Pre-FEED, FEED, and Detailed Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of engineering calculations in Combined Cycle Power Plants and/or Biomass Power Plants / Coal-fired / Gas-fired Boiler Power Plants.
• Knowledge of systems such as:
• Fuel Gas / Liquid Fuel
• Steam & Condensate
• Feed Water
• Main Cooling
• Closed Cooling
• Demineralized Water
• Service Water & Compressed Air

General Requirements

• Experience working in a multi-office, multi-disciplinary team environment.
• High level of stress management.
• High proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
• Strong commitment and proactive attitude.
