Job summary

Técnicas Reunidas is seeking a senior engineer in Chennai, India, to lead Pre-FEED/FEED and detailed engineering activities for power plant projects. The role requires extensive experience across multiple plant systems and strong English communication to coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team.

The candidate will supervise hydraulic calculations, piping, heat exchangers, and process data specifications, while preparing process descriptions, operating manuals, and line lists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in Pre-FEED, FEED, and Detailed Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of engineering calculations for power plant projects (Combined Cycle, Biomass, Coal-fired, Gas-fired).

Responsibilities

• Development and supervision of pipe sizing, hydraulic calculations, heat and material balance, utilities summaries, and calculations.
• Development and supervision of Boiler Feedwater Pumps, Condensate Pumps, Heat Exchangers, Control Valves, Safety Valves, Instrument Process Data Specifications.
• Preparation of Process / Functional Descriptions, Operating and Maintenance Manuals.
• Support other disciplines.
• Prepare P&IDs / line lists.

Educational Qualification

Experience

• 15+ years of experience in Pre-FEED, FEED, and Detailed Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of engineering calculations in Combined Cycle Power Plants and/or Biomass Power Plants / Coal-fired / Gas-fired Boiler Power Plants.
• Knowledge of systems such:
• Fuel Gas / Liquid Fuel
• Steam & Condensate
• Feed Water
• Main Cooling
• Closed Cooling
• Demineralized Water
• Service Water & Compressed Air

General Requirements

• Experience working in a multi-office, multi-disciplinary team environment.
• High level of stress management.
• High proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
• Strong commitment and proactive attitude.
