Job summary

Principal Financial Group is seeking a process specialist for Defined Benefits in Pune. You will perform DB processing and calculations, manage worklists, and ensure adherence to SOPs, compliance, and audits.

Collaboration with seniors and proactive learning are expected as you implement updates and new tools. The role requires a analytical degree with finance/insurance exposure and a track record of accuracy in a regulated environment, contributing to a collaborative and inclusive workplace

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field such as Math, Actuarial Science, or Statistics.
  • Minimum of 1.5-2 years of work experience in Retirements, preferably in the US Defined Benefit area.
  • Total of 4-5 years of professional experience in a finance or insurance role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Defined Benefit (DB) processing and/or calculation across subtypes such as quotes, basic benefit events, annuities, and distributions.
  • Manage assigned worklists efficiently while adhering to standard processing times.
  • Produce high-quality work while following SOPs, compliance guidelines, and audit requirements.
  • Support integration of new tools, updated SOPs, or workflow changes.
  • Collaborate with seniors to understand complex cases and process updates.
  • Identify learning gaps and request clarification or training when needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a major in an analytical field such as Math, Actuarial Science, or Statistics.
