Qualifications

• 14+ years of experience in EMS industry.
• Solid knowledge of SMT, Wave soldering, Manual soldering, Conformal coating, Press fit, Potting and Gluing.
• Knowledge on SPC is preferable.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma improvement methodologies is preferred.
• Ability to set and maintain manufacturing processes to meet customer requirements.
• Ability to monitor process health and maintain best-in-class standards.
• Experience in new process qualification to meet customer requirements.
• Identify inputs/outputs of processes and optimize to meet requirements.
• Knowledge of machine hardware and software used to realize processes.
• Prepare detailed work instructions for operators.
• Participate in NP I / Product engineering meetings to define tooling.
• Perform periodic process health checks through SPC.

Responsibilities

• Set and maintain defined manufacturing processes to meet customer requirements across the shopfloor.
• Monitor health of processes and drive improvements to achieve Cp/Cpk > 1.33.
• Introduce and qualify new manufacturing processes for customer requirements.
• Identify key inputs/outputs and optimize process parameters.
• Prepare detailed work instructions and ensure proper tooling for production.
• Collaborate with NPI/product engineering for process/tooling requirements.
• Perform periodic SPC-based health checks to ensure consistent performance.

CENTUM EMS –The Electronics Manufacturing Services business unit addresses high -technology high-complexity products in the defense, aerospace, industrial, medical, automotive and telecommunications segments. The offerings include Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), system integration, PCBA, test, environmental screening and repair & return services. This team also provides mechanical solutions to various requirements in the field of plastics and sheet metal for the industrial customers.

• 14+ Years of experience in the area -Preferably in EMS industry.
• Working knowledge on Key EMS manufacturing processes like SMT process, Wave soldering, Manual Soldering, Conformal coating, Press fit, Potting and Gluing.
• Knowledge on SPC is preferable.
• Knowledge on Improvement methodologies like Six sigma is preferred
• Responsible for setting and maintaining the defined manufacturing process at its optimal level in order to meet the customer requirements across the shopfloor.
• Ensure that systems are in place to monitor the health of the process followed and attain best in the industry standards.
• Systematic Introduction and qualification of the new manufacturing process required to realize the customer requirements (New Process qualification).
• Identifying the key inputs and output parameters of the defined manufacturing process, understanding the relationship between the same and optimizing them in order to meet the customer requirements.
• Systematic approach (Eg: six sigma approach) to define the new manufacturing process to meet customer requirements on time.
• Arrive at the optimal process settings to achieve a Cp / Cpk of > 1.33.
• Uderstanding of the machines with their hardware and software required to realize the process.
• Preparing the detailed work instruction for the operators to operate the machine in order to realize the product.
• Defining the technical capabilities of the machine and process.
• Participate in meetings with NPI / Product engineering to define and validate the product specific manufacturing tooling required for the defined process.
• Performing periodic process health check through SPC to ensure consistent performance of the process.
