Job summary

PHOENIX CONTACT (I) Pvt. Ltd. in India seeks a qualified engineer with 3–6 years in electrical/electronic manufacturing, focusing on Through-Hole Technology and wave soldering.

You will provide process engineering support for soldering, record temperature profiles, create soldering programs, define process parameters, and supervise maintenance and training activities. IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-7711/7721 knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• B.E/B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in Electrical/Electronics manufacturing.
• Knowledge of wave soldering.
• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide process engineering support for soldering processes.
• Handle wave soldering operations and monitoring.
• Record and evaluate temperature profiles.
• Create soldering programs and define process parameters.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Troubleshoot and rectify faults.
• Ensure soldering quality per IPC-A-610.
• Repair assemblies per IPC-A-7711/7721.
• Support marking and labelling processes and laser marking.

Job description

We are looking for the candidate with minimum 3-6 years of experience in electrical/electronic manufacturing, with a focus on Through-Hole Technology (THT)/Wave Soldering assembly and soldering processes.

Responsibilities

• Process engineering support for soldering processes
• Wave soldering.
• Recording and evaluating temperature profiles
• Creating soldering programs and defining process parameters
• Performing preventive maintenance as well as repairs
• Troubleshooting and fault rectification
• Assessing soldering quality in accordance with IPC-A-610
• Repairing assemblies in accordance with IPC-A-7711/7721
• Process engineering support for marking and labelling processes
• Laser marking
• Creating marking templates
• Carrying out maintenance activities
• Recording defects and key performance indicators for the continuous improvement (CIP) process
• Optimizing production processes within the assigned area of responsibility
• Instructing and training employees
• Creating maintenance instructions and maintenance plans

Requirements

• Completed B.E/ BTech/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Sound knowledge of operational processes, as well as proficiency in MS Office
• Experience in Electrical/Electronics manufacturing
• Product and process knowledge (including wave soldering)
• A high level of technical understanding and strong comprehension skills

Salary for this position

INR 4 lacs - 6 lacs/ annum
