Job summary

Gain Credit Inc. is seeking a Finance Analyst - MI to own data and management information for the Finance function and wider business. You’ll take ownership of recurring data requests so the Finance Manager - MI can focus on insight rather than fulfillment.

You’ll ensure data reaching decision-makers is accurate, timely, and reconciled to source. You will produce standard recurring MI deliverables, document data definitions, and maintain controls.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in a data or MI role.
• Strong SQL and Python skills; confident working with large datasets.
• Strong Excel skills – including lookup functions, pivot tables, and complex analysis.
• Methodical approach with high standards of accuracy; able to create and maintain data quality processes.
• Commercially focused; understands wider business impact alongside the data perspective.
• Agile and adaptable to new structures, policy changes, and product-level changes.
• Clear communicator; comfortable challenging and clarifying requests to ensure efficiency.
• Effective time management; autonomous in managing routine work and prioritizing to deadlines.
• Reliable and consistent under recurring deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail with a high bar for accuracy and data integrity.
• Desirable: experience with Power BI, Tableau, NetSuite, Pandas, or process improvement using AI.

• Produce recurring management information to agreed timetables.
• Fulfill audit, funder, and regulatory data requests accurately and on time.
• Handle business-as-usual data queries from across the organization.
• Maintain documentation of data definitions and the logic behind recurring outputs.
• Reconcilereported data to source systems and investigate discrepancies.
• Apply and maintain controls over recurring data processes, including maker and checker arrangements.
• Escalate data quality issues promptly rather than working around them.
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring data production, particularly using AI.
• Support the development of reporting infrastructure and automated pipelines.
• Contribute to maintaining a single, agreed source of truth for key business metrics.

• Youown an agreed set of recurring MI and business-as-usual data queriesend-to-end. You reconcile reported data to source systems as standard,with discrepancies investigated rather than noted. You've delivered thefirst two recurring processes automated end-to-end with maker and checkerarrangements applied.
• Youown audit and funder requests with limited review needed from the FinanceManager - MI. You show measurable reduction in manual effort acrossrecurring data production. You identify and elevate data quality issuesbefore they reach decision-makers as a matter of routine. You have thenext set of automation targets agreed and underway.
