Job summary

Woodside Energy is seeking a Privacy Adviser to support the business in complying with global privacy obligations. You will provide advisory services to all Groups on the implementation of Woodside’s Privacy program requirements across jurisdictions.

You will coach Privacy Focal Points, stay current with regulatory changes such as DPDPA, GDPR and AU Privacy Act, and help investigate incidents, assess risks and embed a strong privacy culture.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years+ experience in privacy/compliance.
  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in relevant field (law, technology, data science).
  • Understanding of DPDPA, GDPR and AU Privacy Act.

Responsibilities

  • Support development, implementation and governance of a pan-Woodside privacy program.
  • Provide privacy guidance regarding new applications and processes for personal data management.
  • Coach Privacy Focal Points to drive effective privacy controls.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry trends.
  • Investigate and resolve privacy incidents and non‑compliance events.
  • Resolve privacy‑related queries and complaints, including third‑party contractors.
  • Monitor and embed changes in privacy laws across the organisation.
  • Assess privacy risks arising from existing products and services.
  • Monitor effectiveness of privacy risk mitigation and compliance measures.
  • Enable effective risk management and reporting for International Operations.
  • Champion a strong privacy culture across the organisation.

  • Support resolution of privacy-related queries and complaints, including those relating to third‑party contractors.
  • Monitor, communicate and embed changes in privacy laws across the organisation.
  • Assess privacy-related risks arising from existing products and services.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of privacy-related risk mitigation and compliance measures.
  • Accountable for enabling effective risk management and reporting for International Operations.
  • Champion the development and embedding of a strong privacy culture across the organisation.

  • Experience: 3–5 years +.
  • Tertiary qualifications: Bachelor/Master’s degree in relevant field (law, technology, data science).
